MTDC Holiday Resort Aurangabad Reviews

I am not too sure whether any one from the Maharashtra Government or even from MTDC would be reading this or whether this would even create an impression on the Government Of Maharashtra. However what I would like to say that MTDC property in Aurangabad is strategically located, but sadly the Maharashtra Government does not believe in maintain the same. The Rooms are filthy rarely cleaned. There are rats roaming about freely in the rooms. When you complain to the manager, he has one answer to give i.e \' Aa? gaya hoga, ab kya kar sakte hain\'. The Manager is out there to fleece people of their money and make an extra buck for himself. The Restaurant is dirty. You have to keep requesting the waiters to clean the tables. They clean the tables with their hands. No swipe or even a cloth is provided to them. Not only so, there is only two waiters managing or rather trying to manage the show. Kind of facilities which are provided are not even worth the money MTDC is charging. It is a shame to see the state of government run resorts. I have been to other MTDC Resorts also like in Ganpatiphule and Nashik. The state of these resorts are also similar. Traveling around Maharashtra made me realise that it has vast coastal line and picturesque places such as Ratnagiri, however the government does very little to promote tourism in the State. Where as staying in other state run resorts such as that run and managed by Garhwal Tourism, Uttranchal, Karnataka and Himachal tourism is pleasant experience unlike MTDC Resorts. I hope that Maharashtra Government would realise the same and start taking care of these resorts.

Worst Experience: Experience with the manager not refunding my money, with the waiters in the Restaurant.

Simple yet complete. Very coordial and helpful reception. The rooms are very basic, MTDC can do better. A look at budget hotels by Tata\'s (GINGER) will be helpful :)

Best Experience: The breakfast.

Worst Experience: The travel desk is costly when looking out for private cars, better avoid.

Internet reservation almost impossible: contact by telephione. Rooms spacious, in the past well-equipes but now rather worn. Some of them a little bit noisy

Best Experience: Advantages are: close neighbourhood of the railway station, restaurants and shopping centers MTDC travel agency at the resort, that organises daily Elora guided tours at reasonable price

Rooms were really BIG... Spacious & with good facilities inside and also AC was effectively working. Bathroom was very spacious with hot water & huge space.

Best Experience: The huge room size was same as bathroom size! We can’t imagine anything like this even in big Mumbai city...

Worst Experience: Food service was bad. It looks that they closed the restaurant; so no initiative for the same.
