In this manner, the shrine reaches out to all classes and segments of the society.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, inaugurated the temple in 1997. The shrine was constructed with the aim to promote Vedic culture and spiritual learning. ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna-Chandra Mandir has sculptures of deities of Moolavars and Utsavars.

The shrine features a gold-plated Dwajastambha, a 17-metre tall flag post and 8.5-meter gold plated Kalash Shikara. Maintained by ISCKON society, the holy shrine is situated in the northern region of the city, which is well-connected with rest of Bangalore through various transportation modes like buses, taxis, auto rickshaws and others.

"A Modern temple"

Unique temple in its marketing nature. Also, good height of temple allows for some fresh air and a view. Photos were difficult to get by, so I have attached only one photo.

"Too commercialized to be called a spiritual place"

  • 4.5/7
  • Posted Mar 15, 2017
It is less of a temple and more of a mini-mall. They have food, shopping, movies - not the kind of things you would associate with a temple or with spirituality. It's also crowded, so you get the feeling that you're being rushed. Again - not a very temple-like feeling to be rushed. Temples should be peaceful, isn't it?

"Really don't like this place"

  • 2.0/7
  • Posted Feb 7, 2017
I visited 4 years back and there was no crowed at all compare to other place but they were like stand on stone and say some spiritual word and then go, I think they were doing too much for that.
And most annoying thing was if you pay them 1000 bucks per person you will have not to do that.

"Not a place for spiritual worship"

  • 4.5/7

Devotional place is small while the exhibition and stalls are all around the place, it's like a shopping place for religious items with small place to worship.

ISKCON is a very beautiful example of architecture. It is a very great place filled with devotion. This Krishna temple is located in rajajinagar. I loved the way it is built and the entire atmosphere is so cool and a very good place to know about the Indian culture too.

"Food counter in the temple is fantastic"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Mar 29, 2016
I have been there in ISKCON temple for 3 hours. It's a nice cool place to sit alone. And at end of ISKCON temple there is a food counter. Variety of vegetarian food is main attraction for me. Lemon rice, malpau, pakora, fruit cuts etc are some of varities.
