Golden Palms Hotel & Spa Reviews

If you are looking for a quiet but not so far getaway from bangalore, Golden Palms is the place to be. Ideal setting for corporate and family crowd. It boasts of one of the biggest swimming pool in India and once i did dive in, it surely looked like. The Sapota and the jackfruit trees lined up all along the walkways surely reminds you of your very own garden/farm.

Best Experience: The Bar and the Dance floor just lift up your spirits. You can unwind the next day either diving into the extravagant pool or sweating it out in the sports complex by indulging in Tennis, TT, Billiards or Squash

Worst Experience: The Road from NH till the resort is full of potholes and not properly laid out, there are hardly any street lights lit up during nights, surely a alto or a small car with low ground clearance beware.....

A very good hotel located at a close proximity to bangalore. The property is well maintained . Location is not that great. The hotel had a great, huge pool. Food was excellent. A very friendly restaurant and pool side staff.

This is one of the best properties situated at close proximity to Bangalore (25 kms). The property is huge and well maintained with lots of trees and landscaping with a very large pool. The suite rooms are very large and spacious and is nice to walk around the property.

Best Experience: We got upgraded from a Dlx room to a Suite room which was nice and we also enjoyed all our meals here as the quality of food was good with a large variety.

Worst Experience: Our bedroom Tv and mini fridge wasn't working but was changed when complained. Saturdays are normally crowded with a lot of corporate outings here but the place becomes quiet at night and on Sundays.

Experience was very good. This was the second time I was visiting Golden Palms. Went there with family, my parents, brother's family and my family, three kids in tow. Getting to Golden Palms is easy, especially after the new elevated road on Bangalore Tumkur Road. Location wise nothing great to speak about. But the resort itself is very well done, though the age is now showing (for eg, though it is a 5 star, they still have CTVs in the rooms). The pool is huge and the kids will love it. The people managing the squash, tennis, billiards room etc. need to be a little more accommodative. For eg. when my wife requested whether they could give out the cycle at 6:30 AM rather than 7:00 Am (which is late for activities in a resort), the person behind the counter refused outright almost to the pint of being curt). The food in Cafe Soliare is really good. The buffets, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner are huge, very tasty and our family loved it. The staff are friendly and helpful and overall the highlight of our stay there.

Best Experience: The food!!

Well, we had an opportunity to stay in thsi property during my business meeting for 3 nights & four days and beleive me this hotel doesn\'t do justice with the big name it is associated with. The swimming pool which it claims to be the biggest in Asia is so so and ther service is pathetic. We had an experience of waiting for around 30 min outside our room because the key was not working and inspite of repeated calls to the reception it was not sent. The food quality was also average and the selection of the buffet breakfast cuisine was also not satisfactory. The rooms were marked with the presence of cockroaches and the standard of the room and its bathroom was not of a 4 star category. Since the resort has several golf cars and the distance of its rooms from the main lobby is far but to get such golf car service for dropping to your room is very rare and the service staff is not very co-operative. In a nut shell, we would never put this resort again in our stay list in banglore.

Best Experience: the lobby area and the greenery is very good and the swmimming pool is very big for all types of guests.The spa facility is quite nice with some unique packages like Cleopetras\' milk bath treatment.

Worst Experience: pathetic service, pathetic food & poor maintainence of rooms and bathroom.
