The place is very soothing and relaxing. The rooms are cozy and big and the decor is serene. The food is the best part. Multicuisine and delicious. I won't mind travelling back just for the food. The scenery is pretty good and the service is outstanding. Overall the experience was amazing. Looking forward to visit this place again

My family and I visited Il Palazzo in the month of July, over the Eid weekend. And it was the best place we could've chosen for a family weekend. the weather was amazing- rainy and cool (if you like that kinda weather), with clouds floating past us. It gets chilly, so carry a warm jacket and a windcheater for the rain. The hotel property is pretty and really vast. The cottages are super cozy, well maintained and comfortable. The meals were delicious and served in a buffet system. Very tasty and fresh. Oh and if you're feeling all stuffed and fat after your meal, feel free to borrow a cycle to cycle around the hotel garden. Or just take a walk around and enjoy the greenery and the pretty flowers blooming all around :) The hotel is also equipped with a gym, a games room and a swimming pool. Although we didn't really make use of the pool because it was really cool anyway. A special mention must be made for Mr. Farhan the hotel owner who was extremely gracious and fun to have around. He also organized live music in the evenings which every guest seemed to enjoy as they were all grooving on the dance floor. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend and my family is definitely going to return to Il Palazzo again :D

The overall experience was good. It was a relaxation trip. The location of the hotel convenient. The staff was warm and friendly. There was no delay in check in and checkout procedure. The room was clean, neat and spacious. The amenities whichever provided by them were functioning properly. The quality and variety of the food was delicious and tasty and it was worth the value. I did not notice any extra activity in the hotel. They provide very big lawn and games like table tennis and carom in the hotel. I have no suggestion for this hotel.

My grandmum. my younger sister and I had 3 delightful days at this hotel in August. I am schooling in England so this was a welcome change from my hometown break in the summer in Mumbai. The room was great in all respects, the food was plentiful and very tasty and the front office manager Mr Faram was especially kind and helpful at all times. The swimming pool was a perfect place to laze and hang out and there were children at the hotel with whom I became friends...we had a great time.

The hotel is an awesome place to crash after a tiring day out in Panchgani. This hotel is centrally located so it provides us an awesome location too.Il Palazzo’s distinctive main building was built in 1925, in the colonial style and our rooms are spread over acres of greenery, framed by stately silver oak and regal eucalyptus trees. Well-manicured lawns and eye-pleasing gardens soothe the senses of the tedium and stress of city life. Old World charm blends seamlessly with modern amenities and facilities including a swimming pool, gymnasium, games room, full generator backup, CCTV (surveillance cameras) and Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the resort. Each guest room is equipped with air conditioning, a mini fridge, a digital safe, LCD television with DVD player, satellite dish TV selection and an intercom facility.

This is a family run boutique hotel, good location off the main road...surrounded by greenery and tall silver oak trees. Very old style colonial ground floor structure with verandah outside each room as a dining space. Rooms were well appointed with comfortable furniture and beds and well-running large bathrooms. Meals come in the per-person room-rate and were generally more than one could finish...huge portions! Indian veg and non-veg , Parsee specialities, a few Chinese dishes...all well prepared and tasty. The pickles accompanying the meal were outstanding too as was the fresh bakery bread! The garden outside the hotel is a peaceful oasis to lounge, read or sit on old swinging chairs. Management...Messrs FARAM and Faiz were always friendly and helpful. All in all, a good stay!

Went to Panchgani after a very long time. Aim was to spend some time together relaxing while being pampered ! The food was definitely one of the major attractions! Booking online was a breeze. Very prompt and efficient. The roads from Mumbai were very good, so we reached in good time for lunch ! What a feast! Though all the meals were delicious, tasteful and presented well, the first felt like we were at a Parsi wedding! Four course meals with yummy freshly baked bread and soups to begin. This was followed by patra ni machchi, salli chicken , dhansak and pulao. Finished with Lagan nu custard! This pattern was followed at every meal time! Breakfast also had innumerable options with choice of eggs as well! The servings were very generous and the staff very helpful, polite and friendly. Being a boutique hotel, and a very old (established in 1920 )family run establishment , very informal, friendly atmosphere. Rooms are in 2 areas, one in the front and the other in adjacent bungalows in the back, separated by a small path. Rooms again are very spacious & comfortable , all amenities are available without compromising on the original Parsi flavour of the place. Ironing board and iron was a pleasant surprise. A sofa cum bed is also placed in the room, so 2 children can be easily accommodated. Bathrooms also had a very modern look, again retaining the old world look with the towel rack . Running hot water was never a problem. Towels and sheets were clean, white , fresh. As we are particular about these things, it made the experience even more pleasant. Meals are served in the verandah outside each room at regular hours. Provision for larger groups , parties and buffet is available, but as it was monsoon & offseason, food was served at our private dining table! As we had taken an all meal plan, there was no question of eating elsewhere! There was enough variety on offer at the hotel . We were there for 4 days, and even the pickle was different each time! The garden is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the many birds that come around. The bronze Buddha statue placed so strategically in one corner sets the mood for a truly peaceful experience . The gym was well equipped and I made it a point to visit it regularly, especially as the diet plan was on holiday too! Board games, carrom, table tennis, basket ball, pool table, swimming pool.. All these amenities are available and we enjoyed seeing them being used by the other patrons who were visiting with their children. All in all a wonderful place to go to unwind , relax n rejuvenate! We had visited il palazzo many years ago and had wonderful memories.. This visit made then fresh and we added some more!

Absolutely superb place to spend a weekend! I am usually wary of heritage resorts as the amenities are generally basic there. One has to appreciate and applaud things in heritage resorts lest one come across as \'not perceptive\'. Well, no such compulsions in this resort! It was sparklingly neat, good linen and absolutely awesome food.

When you want a quick getaway and want that supreme treatment... not the feel like home but feel like guests type, Il-Palazzo at Panchgani seems like the perfect destination. A heritage resort nestled in the lush greenery, the hotel offers just the right environment to relax. Its slightly expensive with Rs.5000 a night charge but then its all meals inclusive and trust me once you have tasted the food, you would keep coming back to this place. The service is great right from the owner Kobat to the manager Parmar right down to the staff. They have nice spacious rooms and a good dvd, book collection. If you are looking for outdoor activities, they have a well maintained swimming pool, basket ball & badminton court. For indoors, TT, pool and lots of board games. The long walks around the resort will take you to places which are no tourist points but give you breathtaking views all the same. Just one warning, if you are a vegetarian, this place isn't for you. The spread caters to the non-veg palette.
