The location of Inchara home-stay is amazing. Loved the place. It was beyond the expectation. They have very big garden, you can find different kinds of plants, flowers and yes of course birds also. As I love photography it was a treat for me. It's green everywhere. They have maintained the property very nicely. Rooms were good. Food was awesome!! Owner of the property is very friendly. I would like to go to Inchara home-stay again.

We were there for a weekend. The place is inside a 17-acre farm and therefore surrounded by lot of greenery. Rooms are quite big, neat and clean. Some rooms are unusually big, sufficient for 4 adults and 2-3 kids. No TV in the rooms so that you can spend quality time with your group and enjoy the nature. There is one TV in the common area. Food is homely and very tasty.

Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary is at a walk-able distance (2 km) and worth the visit during the season (June-September).

This place can also be used as a base for visiting several scenic and pilgrimage centres in Shimoga and Chikmagalur districts.

Location of the hotel was convenient for me. Interiors and exteriors were good. Rooms were spacious, neat, clean, and well-maintained. Basic amenities like TV, geyser, etc were there. Hill station was good there. Food price was reasonable. Quality and taste wise, it was good. I went there with my family and it was a sightseeing trip in the month of May 2013. I am fully satisfied to stay in this hotel. I will recommend this hotel to others.

When i decided to see Jog falls i ended up looking at places about and ran into Inchara home stay.. called up Mr Ramesh , and the brief talk just reinforced my that to go stay at this place . Its a lovely quaint place of 15 acres quietly sitting in the forest stretch of Mandegadde bang near the bird sanctuary (though there is nothing except cranes out there ) . The couple is very warm and friendly,.,, in some senses it feels like a relatives place.. more so since i was all by myself. The food is a typical Malnad food but lots of variety in terms of veggies and i loved the river fish fried. The caretakers cum cooks are so loving and i feasted as i spoke in my broken miserable Kannada. The rooms are simple and basic but the entire setting of the place is enchanting, bettlenut trees, mango trees, lots of pretty flowers. The lady of the house loves to do bonsai.. and the entire place is filled with small planters with arrested plants :)... the stay there was the best i had during my week long trip to the north Karnataka .If you are the sort looking for a quiet homely place with bird and insect sounds, freshness n home cooked meals this place wouldnt disappoint you.
Ps- There is no TV in the room, though u wouldnt need one. There is one in the lunch area. Also no network if you are using Vodafone! :).I would say its a break much needed for your over social busy city lives.
Best Time to Visit- Post monsoon. when the freshness of green would engulf you!..check some of my pics here.. happy breaks.

It was a very good experience and the best part were the long nature trails surrounding the resort. The flora was at its very best and the silence was deafening only broken by the birds.

Best Experience: The nature walks and the trip to Jog falls.

Worst Experience: Nothing but the car parking approach road should be clearly marked. First timers, the very first time... kindly remmeber to take the first gate for car parking.

The overall experience was good and hastle free. The staff at the reception was cordial and quick. The rooms were just okay for the price. He helped us in booking the Taxi for our next day\'s visit to Jogfalls & Sigandhur temple.

Best Experience: The location of the hotel is ideally suited for us as it is close to the railway station. The staff were responsive and the service was good.

Worst Experience: We were to leave early in the morning the next day. But the hot water was not available in the shower. We have to make several requests to the room service and finally they managed to supply us the hot water in the bucket. I think the hotel should make arrangement for 24 hours hot water. The food in the attached restaurant was not all that great.
