Indira Park is one of the most visited gardens in the city of Hyderabad. Built in 1975 – 78, it is one of the oldest parks in the city of Hyderabad. Situated in the Lower Tank Bund of Hyderabad city, Indira Park is a popular spot. Indira Park, named after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, spreads over 76 acres of land on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake.

Indira Park is a well designed park constructed without disturbing the pre-existing natural elements like date palms, keuvda plantations, mango trees, kala jamun (Indian black berry), sandalwood trees, etc. Musical dancing fountains, waterfalls and a commercial nursery are the other attractions of this garden.

The park has a skating arena and a small pond. There is also a rose garden within Indira Park which has different varieties of rose plants.  Visitors to Indira Park can go for boating at Hussain Sagar Lake.

Indira Park is situated close to Katta Maisamma Temple. Katta Maisama Temple is a popular pilgrimage site dedicated to mother Goddess Maisamma. Visitors to Indira Park often visit Katta Maisamma Temple and offer special prayers.

This is at the starting of the necklace road towards the Secunderabad side. Adjacent to it a yogi bear children park another famous amusement park. It is famous for its green and beautiful gardens and especially the rock garden. You will see a huge clock made from natural landscaping and also find several sandalwood trees.
