Park Plaza Hotel Reviews

It Was Diwali peak season & after staying at Palolem for 4 nights we came to Panjim for some business work. We must have checked out at least 5 - 6 hotels & all of them were full. Finally we landed up at Park Plaza. The hotel is centrally located opposite Azad maidan. We took a Non AC room which was on the top floor of the hotel building. Actually the room had an AC but it was not working & that is the reason we managed to get a room during peak diwali season when all other hotels were running to packed capacity. The check in was a little slow as now a days all big hotels ask for an I.D. card & insist on a photo copy of the same. Since I was not carrying a photo copy of my driving license I asked the reception to keep the original with them for photo copying & will collect the same later when I come down. The room was of medium size with enough furniture & a small TV with cable connection. The room also had a small balcony which was overlooking Azad maidan. The washroom was clean. Room service was quick & hotel staff was co-operative. All in all a decent, mid budget option to stay in Panjim.

Best Experience: The view of Azad maidan from the room balcony was the highlight of our stay. The taxi stand is bang opposite the hotel gate so you just need to step out to hire a taxi for sight seeing.

Worst Experience: We had to wait for the lift so much that we decided to take the stairs while coming down on most occasions.
