"It was a fantastic experince...."

It was a fantastic experince. The food was exotic, the environment is peaceful, the service is good. The worst part is the approach. The road is too bad and its a bumpy drive.

"kuchesar was a bit of..."

  • Posted Apr 6, 2005
kuchesar was a bit of a disappointment-a very different picture from the one in my mind, and on the site! If you are expecting something as grand as Neemrana, then the scale of the resort lets you down, as does the ambience and lack of activities. The only solace is the sugarcane fields around, and the jaggery \'factory\'. However, that is something out of the hotel\'s scope. The rooms are small, with not-so-soft beds, though the loos are decent.

Best Experience: Best experience--well, I think it was exploring the fields of ganna, seeing jaggery being made, and chilling out inside the room! All of these \'experiences\' cannot be accredited to the resort. The \'jhoolas\' (swings made of jute) hanging from the tree outside are a delight, and a lovely idea.

Worst Experience: There wasnt any bad experience, just it was too mundane. The anticipated evening tea (had expected a lavish spread, a la neemrana) was a let down, as we were served just coffee, and had to order dry cheese sandwiches. The lighting can be improved; there can be more sprinkling of \'heritage\'....Basically, there is nothing to do, no great views, no entertainment, no sports.... It can however, be made into a lovely place with a little bit of innovation...

"It was a blissful break,..."

It was a blissful break, close enough to drive yet so far away in feel. My wife and I loved the hotel and the place and we rediscovered each other with both. There was nothing really to do, yet there was was so much we did. The staff went all out to be there, unobtrusively. Nothing was refused to the extent of organising a doctor and medicines when my wife felt a little out of sorts. This is break we look forward to taking again sometime not to far away in time. Its difficult to pick on a negative, even the food was good though from a limited menu.

Best Experience: The bullock cart safari. Sheer fun, simple though bumpy. The high point being the visit to the gur factory - a delight.

Worst Experience: No bad experience

"The structure is interesting. But..."

The structure is interesting. But we were allotted ground floor rooms despite choosing rooms with the higher tariffs. These rooms had no balconies and hence one could not just sit out in a private set up. You could only sit out in common spaces, not always desirable.
