It was a very pleasant experience to stay in a spice plantation. The delux cottages are spacious, well kept and clean. Elaichi plants right oppsite your room, the chirping of birds and fresh aromatic air made of stay memorable.

Best Experience: Walking through the Elaichi and the vast tea plantation early morning was a really unforgettable experience. The vast variety of food items at breakfast and dinner buffet was fantastic, tasty and enjoyable. Every bath room has a gas water heater ensuring hot water any time of the day.

Worst Experience: Not any.

I went to Thekkady in Dec-10 for the 1st time & stayed at Carmelia Haven. My experience was AwEsOmE. Have already recommend many of my freiends to stay in this hotel only if they would be planning. Food, services, staff handling, location no daught & at par, worth while to spend money on such a place.

Best Experience: Generally, buffet systems are there in the hotel (Dinner), we went at the hotel & were very much tired infact my wife was slipping in the reception itself they had accepted our request immidiately to provide the dinner in the room & told my wife to have the dinner 1st & then slip. when we wake up in the morning & came out from our room for the break fast the view we seen was amazing, we were stunned & sat there in the garden for 10-15 min to take all the views in our eyes.

Worst Experience: we went to the hotel for chek in at 8.45 pm, when we wake up & seen the atmosphere & ambiance around the hotel, we felt very bad that we had to come here to see the beauty of this in the evening even as we will be living this hotel at 11.30 am in the same morning.

Excellent trip!!! Cochin, Allepy, Munnar & Thekady all are enchanting! We went in July 28 & back to Mumbai on Aug 3. I suppose Thekkady trip was either on 1st or 2nd Aug, not sure on exact date...

Best Experience: The hotel in itself was truly awesome. It was situated on 55 acres of land & each nook & corner was perfectly designed. We stayed in a delux room which was again very well made. Infact the place itself was quite soothing & relaxing.

Worst Experience: A-la-carte (which was already booked in the package), did not have fish as an option that day which was horrible.

great setting for the hotel, we had kids - the play area was broken/not well maintained, quite far from thekady - good 45 mins drive, in-house restaurant was good - though little pricey.

The Resort itself was great as its situated a little away from the city and what strikes you first as soon as you enter is the scenic beauty and the silence. If you want to stay intune with nature then this is the place for you. The staff here are extremely friendly and made our stay a memorable one

Best Experience: the ayurvedic massage that we got there was one of the best.. so relaxing for the body and soul.The jeep safari was great though we thought we should have taken a good insurance cover before hand :)

Worst Experience: The food service was not all that reat though i wouldnt call it bad. The main drawback was with the voltage fluctuations in the cottage where we stayed.They can improve the facilities in the room.
