There was no activity arranged by the hotel. The hotel was located in the city. The hotel was very good. The appearance of the hotel was good. The Wi-Fi facility was provided in the room. There was no sightseeing at the hotel. There was no suggestion for this hotel improvement. There was all the facility provided in the room in working condition.
The room is maintained well. Food was also good. Room service was very good as they responded very quickly to all that we asked for. Clean and well maintained hotel
We recently had a two nights stay in JC Residency. Hotel is around 1+ km away from Lake (centre of city). Rooms are big, clean & very well maintained. Excellent all teak furniture. However, view from rooms is very average. Good play area for kids. Service was not that great, had to call many times for small things. Also food in restaurant....Read More
Worst room service, no liquid soap in the washroom, no drinking water, housekeeping and room service staff do not come to serve even after 5-6 calls. WiFi is very bad, it's very complicated, washrooms are not that too good and spacious.
Specially for those who loved to stay in Vila. They should increase non-veg item. We stayed their for 3 days. Last day they gave us free room in afternoon for 1 hr (free of cost). I wanted to mention about our car(provided from JC, charge extra) driver Udaya. He is very good and humble person. He love to show his place. Awesome experience.
A perfect hotel for Kodaikanal stay. We booked through makemytrip.. And got great discount. Rooms are spacious, clean and no problem with hot water. Prompt services and always smiling staff are ready to help you at any time. They extended our stay by few hours without any charges. Food was nice and many options are available. I went with my wife and two kids of age 1 and 3 was Little scared how will I manage my kids all through the vacation but this hotel was kids friendly they had all types of indoor and outdoor kids activities my kids were entertained all three days. They have bird sanctuaries and for elders they had indoor games and bonfire with music, one day it rained all day they changed the bonfire activity with indoor games for all people stayed the crowd was mixture of south indians, north indians and foreigners they made everyone participate and everyone was comfortable with each other. Pros. Food is good. Near to Kodaikanal lake. Very friendly staff. Rooms well maintained. Kids friendly. Big parking space. Cons. Nothing specifically but the rooms here doesn't has any view. All together if you can afford 3000 to 4000 INR a day please go with this hotel.
We stayed in JC residency from 26th june to 29 june 2010. the hotel was awesome. the ambience was really gud. the hotel staff was really so friendly. We stayed in a honeymoon suite. the room was really good, clean, and the bed requires a special mention. the food they served in the complementary buffet was really tasty. the staff there are well trained and friendly. All foods were spicy and good to eat. But make sure u are familiar with location. there is not even a single sign board to direct you to the hotel(prob, they would have thought that the name itself carries a great identity).
Kodaikanal is family\'s favourite holiday destination and we visit Kodaikanal once in two years while during the consecutive years we experiment with other destinations. The highlight of Kodai is that it is not yet commercialised completely with the greenery and colonial style still intact unlike Ooty which has been destroyed. We reached Kodai on 4th of May 2010 and stayed at JC residency, Naidupuram where we had booked three rooms. The booking was through one HolidayIQ\'s agent leisureasia. Talking about JC\'s residency, the hotel is good but the standard of Super deluxe rooms must improve considering the tariff they charge per day. One of the rooms(Room No.114) had some waste water leakage which was stinking however the maintenance staff used to clean it continously but this was unacceptable considering the tariff they charged us The resort has facility for campfire and barbeque with mini bird park and most interesting birds are the Emu. The restaurant is good and the food is good. However they struggle to manage when there are large crowds. The restaurant tends to become messy when a crowd of 35-40 people gather at a time. The service from the restaurant was good and the highlight was this girl called Shalini who was very active, quick and pleasant in providing us the service. However there is no beer served here since they do not have license.
The ambience was charming and pretty. Facilities and food were good. Easily accessible as the place was on the main road. Room was quiet spacious but the bathroom was a bit congested and was not cleaned daily. Kids play area could have been a little bigger. Overall it was a memorable stay. Definitely a must visit place.
4 of our family members (including 2 kids) stayed in JC Residency for 4 days. The location is closer to Kodai Lake. If you are fond of walking, the early morning walk to Lake would be joyful. We stayed in a family suite and it is value for money. It has a master bedroom and a living room, both of them have TV in each. Rooms are very clean and service is excellent. The food in their restaurant is delicious. They have few indoor games. A special mention about the honesty of hotel management. We left one of our very valuable things in the hotel while checking out and realised it only after few hours after we checked out. We called the reception and notified them. They immediately recovered the valuable, kept in their locker until we went and collected it after few days. They also did lot of verification to ensure we are the right owners. Overall, JC Residency is one of the best hotel, value for money in Kodaikanal for a family stay.
