Taj Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur
Jacob Road, Civil Lines Jaipur
Dated way back to 1745 AD, the property has changed several illustrious owners but still managed to retain an awe-inspiring vibe that is so reflective of the Rajputana life. Impeccable service, calming air or a very soothing deep tissue massage at the in-house JIVA space will help you take a break from the frenetic pace of the city. Delight in a casual meander through the properties grounds, or enjoy a rather stately buggy ride, a traditional puppet show, palmistry or folk dances that wear the soul of the dessert. In true aristocratic style, food and drink here holds centre stage and each meal is a culinary delight. Opt for the Cinnamon, a cosy nook that serves up indulgent gravies and succulent kebabs from four princely states for a magical meal. Our special shout-outs here to the signature Dal Cinnamon (smoky, velvety and an absolute treat), the very ingenious vegetarian Makai Malai Seekh, a delightfully meaty Maas Ke Soole, earthy spinach laden Hara Bhara Kebab and the Waza Palak, and an addictively crunchy Jaipuri Bhindi.
Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The princely stay, pure Rajasthani style. Wow, that was wonderful experience!!! It was a exhilarating experience to stay in this facility of Taj. The whole thing started with the welcome with their traditional Sindhur and jasmine garland with the Rajasthani instruments playing the welcome tunes. The front office staff are so efficient that they guided us to our room very swiftly after a welcome drink. The room has a beautiful ambience though it was small, has a opening at the rear for a exclusive garden, a purple colour bath tub. The yoga classes in the morning by a charming yoga specialist helped me to correct certain postures that I have been practising. There princely spa. Alas! We could not enjoy and to experience this due to paucity of time. The breakfast and the dinner are on the house and the restaurant has a perfect ambience. Rajasthani vegetarian food served was authentic and tasty. Evenings are filled with fun, Rajasthani folk dance, mehendi for women, magic for children. The exquisite Meena bazaar was so ethnic and bought some exclusive designer wear. It was two days three night package, and the stay was over. The stay has left us with the memories of the princely stay, pure Rajasthani style. Wow, that was wonderful experience.
We went there for our wedding anniversary and the whole staff made the day really special for us. Right from the start, we were given a royal welcome at the reception, followed by a cake in our room. They even arranged a very romantic dinner giving us our privacy. The food was sumptuous. We were surprised to see a love booklet on our bed when we went back which had our memorial pics, took from facebook. The bathtub also surprised us with rose petals and bubbles. Overall, the hotel staff made our day very special and full of surprises. The pool experience was great, a full lush Rajasthani decorated garden. At night we enjoyed Rajasthani dance, Kathputli etc. Under the sky blue. The mornings become so peaceful with the sound of flute all over the resort as a man blow it so nicely. Not to forget the big sized chess and the vintage cars. For me, I had a great experience staying there and am looking forward to celebrate all my anniversaries there with all peace and love.
As we know that Jai Mahal Palace is owned by Taj group of hotels and resorts, so its obvious that services must be awesome. I stayed at Jai Mahal Palace for 3 days and that was my first visit to Jaipur. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were also clean. As palace is converted into hotel but that real luxurious feel is always present, once you get into this hotel you start feeling like a prince, every evening at 7pm there is Rajasthani folk dance programme which entertain guests from all over world. There is swimming pool, tennis court, yoga centre, badminton court with beautiful lawns. Ever part of hotel is well maintained. Now come to food part, which is very important for every hotel reputation. There are 3 restaurants on ground floor, which serves specific cuisines. If you love non-veg then you must try lamb raan dish with some tandoori chicken and the desserts are always awesome. The morning breakfast is always awesome with lots of variety in food, if you don't like what they serve then just order what you want to eat and chef will prepare your food according to you, that's the best part what I liked about Taj hotels, they never let you feel that you are eating food outside your home. You always get pure hygienic food in best quality, the speciality of hotel is food, palace architecture and polite staff, there is always smile on their face and treat their customers like prince and princes. I would love to visit again this hotel which equal to Rambagh palace in every manner.
