Jaipur food, sight-seeing and shopping options
The City Palace has a sub-set palace called the Sheesh Mahal. Now, one would think that the city would be delighted to throw open the doors of Sheesh Mahal to visitors – after all, how many cities in India have a palace (Mahal) made of glass (Sheesh)? But alas and alack, I realized I was the naïve one. Sheesh Mahal has an entry fee of Rs.2,500 per person!!!! Yes, you read it right, Rs.2,500 per person. I fairly fainted (and not just because of the heat) when I reached the entry to this exalted palace. And yes, you guessed it right – we turned back. No palace is worth Rs.2,500 per person. I’d rather go to a nearby hill station for a weekend holiday in that much money. So, that was that. There is another attraction that Jaipur boasts of called Hawa Mahal. It is a palace that was made for the royal ladies of Jaipur. In the days of the purdah, when they were forbidden from showing their faces to the outside world of men, they congregated in this Hawa Mahal to watch processions that took place on the streets below them. The palace was under construction and coupled with the scorching heat which made sightseeing a pain, I didn’t quite enjoy the Hawa Mahal. There are other tourist attractions too in the city which any of the rickshaw drivers or tourist cabs, whom you can hire for the day, will take you to. There is also a prepaid city tour that you can take from Hotel Gayatri (I think). Do visit the new part of Jaipur which has lovely bungalows and a peaceful air above it. There are n number of hotels to cater to all pockets in Jaipur, so you can take your pick.

Hotel Review of Le Meridien
Comments: it was awesome....what a room and what a hotel must say to every newly wedded couple or any romantic couple must go and stay in villas of this hotel , i have been to many places and palaces till now and have almost stayed at most romantic place but the way le meridain people have designed there rooms n bathroom r just superb..specially bathroom its equally big as room and open sunken bathrooms with jacuzzi style tubs n with a/c in all the bathrooms...and every villa has their private garden...some of villa have arvalli mountains view which is very nice.. over all my experience with rooms n stay was fantastic. i traveled in may n luckily weather was not at all hot ,i went to celebrate my husbands birthday..we stayed 3 nts 4 days, food was very well too..we r pure jain people and it become difficult to get sometime but hotel people managed it very well.. every possible dish they use to make for us.. they were trying to keep our expectations high which u automatically have when there r brand hotels..
Best Experience: best part was to celebrate my husbands birthday i wanted a private place as i invited few guest where tv is there as ipl matches were going and my husband is very fond of unluckily they dont have tvs in restaurant so they arranged a a beautiful candle light dinner at bar ..on request ..which is very unusual... good service must say
Worst Experience: we r late riser so..couldn't get u b4 10-30 n they always use to bang on us to come early n half things they didn't serve as buffet was over n all they said every time...so half things they didn't serve only... at breakfast.. they should be bit flexible.. as every1 come for holiday....so its bound to happen to get up late... other then these no bad experience as such..
yes they have very beautiful theater... n ticket's r tooo expensive 300 rs per person which is more then inox here in mumbai n not worth to c it also..

Hotel Review of Le Meridien
LeMeridien Jaipur is a perfect hotel which will suit everybody. Situated around 10 kms before Jaipur city, the hotel is built like a palace with ample oppurtunity for recreation, enough space for nature-lovers. The villas are a perfect luxury. Staff and services are good enough....
