Hotel Review of Prince Hotel
Comments: Jaisalmer is a beautiful city. Don't go when it is peak season as it gets very crowded and the lecals are more interested in selling their stuff to foreign tourists. On the way, you get ignored. Me and my friends went on 11 Jan and there were lot of rooms available everywhere. Not only that, due to the lack of crowd, shopkeepers and hotel owners have a lot of time and you can chat up with them for hours!
Like most hotels in Jaisalmer, here too, you have to take a package. It consists of the stay and a desert safari with overnight camp. The hotel makes most of it's profit from the desert safari and is therefore willing to keep very low rates for the stay. We were charged Rs. 300 per night for one room (with enough bed space for us 5 people) and without extra bedding. The desert safari overnight package was Rs. 1100 per head and for the night that we would be in the desert, we would not be paying the room rent.
Don't expect anything majestic at this place. It is very basic, with hot water only available at certain times and that too, by providing you with a bucket of hot water. But the hotel and its rooms are clean and it is located very close to Jaisalmer fort. Just a 2 minute walk. They don't have a restaurant in the hotel but food is available all around, due to it's location.
Best Experience: The desert safari and overnight camp at Oasis India, all arranged by the hotel.
Worst Experience: Hot water is only available between 8 and 10 am, which is when we are usually asleep! The hotel then shuts down the boiler and we had to beg them for hot water whenever we wanted some!

Hotel Review of Prince Hotel
Stayed for one night, it was peak tourist period, i,e; 25th December Over crowded and the hotel owner sems helpless, as he couldn't provide the room as promised and we have to manage in a triple bed room, this hotel is near the Jaisalmer fort and centrally located with travel agencies and restaurants situated opposite and near to it. We just passed our night stay and have nothing much to complain...
