Ranked 4 of 17 hotels in Jaldapara
The hotel is located conveniently as there was no difficulties in finding it. The surrounding of the hotel is good and the hospitality was average. The exterior was not so good but the interiors were good. The staffs were friendly and good in services and the room provided was good and maintained in clean condition with all the essential amenities. My stay at this hotel was comfortable and the hotel is worth for the money. There was no delay during sign in and sign out process.
I made my stay in this hotel with my friends as it was a relaxation trip. The hotel location is excellent but pretty far from city side and surroundings were maintained clean. The ambience was really good and the staff members at the hotel were friendly professional in service. The room given to me was spacious with required amenities in good working condition. The food was very delicious with lots of varieties both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There was no interruption while checking in and checking out.
Appearance of the hotel was good. Booking in Front office was very good. The room allotted to me was good. The food provided to me inside the hotel, it was tasty and good in quality. Wi-Fi facility was available but slow. I would like to suggest this hotel to make proper construction of the road, as it was not safe. The tariff charged was twenty six hundred. I will recommend this hotel to other travellers and it was worth the pay.

its a nice hotel to visit with family . jungle safari ,especially the elephant ride was awesome .we all had a nice time . the drive from coronation bridge till hotel was a awesome experience.thee rooms were exotic and the night show ,the sound and light show was a refreshing experience.
The AC suite was luxurious. The total atmosphere created within the lodge including the light & sound show during evening wasawesome. The food was also awesome.Good room service available only for tea & snacks. They will also arrange for Jeep safari & if you are lucky u can get Elephant safari also. We loved it. If you can afford the expenditure then go for it.
It was overall a nice stay. If the place has to be considered for wild life viewing then the Best is Hollong Bunglow. But getting a room at Hollong is really tough and it also opts as a VIP Bunglow, so your booking can get cancelled anytime. The next best option is Jaldapara tourist lodge. One twostoreyd wooden+concrete main structure is there. Also some seperate cottages are there. If you can pay, they will arrange bonfire and tribal dance. We enjoyed those during our stay. It's a bit pricey considering the overall nature of the place, but worth giving a try.
Here, service is so bad, that whatever you ask for, you don't get (that too, with 10 percent occupancy). I had an ac room, without light, working television, flush, bathroom tap, and a dirty extra mattress. The cheap blankets hardly give any warmth. Food is equally bad, always stinking of ominous cycle of corruption, with food always less and stale. Either avoid or shout your way to get things done (since avoiding might be difficult for it is the biggest and only decent one in the area).
Very big tourist complex having old wooden block, new concrete block and the cottages built very recently. Rooms are spacious with modern amenities. It is located adjacent to the forest .Monkeys are seen and at times they come close to your room for food. The complex has a well maintained garden where children can play around. The reception staff arranges tickets for elephant / jeep safari for the guests. This is an added advantage for staying in the JTL. There is an in house restaurant and a bar .Meals are tasty and in expensive. Located about 150 kms from NJP, takes a drive of 4 hrs . Advance booking is possible for which web site of WBTDC is referred.
Jaldapara Tourist Lodge, under WBTDC is a place where couples with young kids (5 years and below) should choose over Hollong Tourist Lodge. The Hotel is well landscaped with lovely garden having models of all creatures which exists in Jaldapara Forest. Since it is outside the Forest area, there is no restrictions on movements.
The hotel is conveniently located in city and its appearance is quite good. The staff members were helpful and good in service. The room provided was neat and clean with all the needful amenities working properly but geyser was not good. The food served in the hotel was good in both veg and non-veg dishes. There was no delay in check-in or check-out procedure. I had been here with my family in the month of January for sightseeing which was pre-planned by us. I did not notice any activity at the hotel and our stay was quite good and money spent was reasonable.
The staff were very friendly and accomadating. Booking has to be done with an Indian credit card, so that was a problem for us which we resolved by going through a travel agent. We originally booked dorm rooms, but they are NOT recommended. The doubles were fine and the price included 3 meals. Wildlife safaris can be arranged at the hotel. We saw 5 rhinos, a bison and lots of birds. Elephant safari was great. This site is recommended and the lodge was fine (as long as you aren\'t expecting 5 star...this is a good 2-3 star lodge.)
there should be lot more transperancy in terms of the charges for instance room rent, food extra charges like car safari , elephant safari. It seems that the tourists are sometimes at tyhe pity of of the employees of the Jaldapara Lodge.Their should be a prepaid counter for the tourist department to facilitate the families with fare car rental tariffs as there it is no bar when you ask for a car on rent to drop you at NJP or Siliguri.I was charged 2200 for ny room which was in fact for 2000 as it was a brick construction not a wooden construction but got to know this later when I reached in Newdelhi and then enquired with my friends.I had my son with me who got infected with some insect at the elephant safari but had to wait to reach NJP as doctor facility is not available.I regret to say may be the above said facility is available but didnt have any clue as their is nobody to handle the guests as relationship officer orlikely. Two faces Mr SAHA and another fellow with him only manages the whole lodge which puts more pressure onthem and also gives us very less time to enquire about anything.
I reached the hotel easily. Location was fine. Hotel was located at about 3 hours distance to the airport. Behaviour of the staff member was friendly. Food facility was available and it was tasty. Veg and non-veg all varieties were available. Rooms were neat and clean. Garden view was available from the room window. I booked my room through travel agency. Booking and front office was very nice. Nothing was available in activities. It was a relaxed holiday with my family in January month. Hotel arranged cab facility for sightseeing. Hotel was value for money and recommendable for travellers.
