Hotel Review of Ambassador Ajanta
Comments: At the outset, I must mention that overall I had a decent time, considering that I was there on work and that I hardly had time to spend in the hotel. The staff are quite friendly and your needs are taken care off. The restaurant provides you with a good breakfast, before you start on your day's itinerary. The a la carte for lunch and dinner is varied and sumptuous.
Best Experience: What impressed me most was the attention given to you by the staff - and I think you could generalise it. I am a early morning person - and on most days would like to do some tread-milling before starting work. Though the time mentioned for opening the gym is 6.30, they made sure that it was open a little earlier and called me up in the morning to say it was ready for my use! That in my opinion, is going beyond the call of duty. Similar attention was received from the laundry and house-keeping.
Worst Experience: In the hotels, we have stayed in recently - I have not seen the staff lingering on waiting for their tip. This appeared to be a 'habit' among all the staff at the Ambassador - from the bell-boy to the lift operator and the housekeeping 'floor incharge'. I mean I don't expect him to say 'Sir, I got your room cleaned this morning'! It is a culture that the management can do well to caution their employees about.
