Could have been the best

6.1/7
Posted 2 Dec, 2016

We booked sea facing deluxe room through Mr. Satyajit Das. Room was booked on telephonic request, advance was transferred and we got the confirmation immediately. We checked in for six nights as scheduled on 5th Nov 2016. Room was kept ready as we informed them through sms likely time of arrival. Staff in reception, housekeeping and restaurant were proactive and helpful. There is no storage facility for cloths except for hangers. We stayed off the suitcase. A. Deluxe sea facing room: Well done up but lacked some basic items which may not make your stay comfortable. Be. Front Office : Helpful and proactive C. Hose keeping: Prompt The. Room Service: Good E. Restaurant: Well spread breakfast with lot of choice of food, the staff was helpful and positive. We, on the second day only, thought of changing the hotel because of following reasons, which were conveyed to hotel staff thinking that some remedial action will be taken to make our stay more memorable; 1. There is NO repeat No provision of hanging / keeping changing clothes in the quite a good done up toilet. (Best is to go without cloths to toilet for Bath. Even towels are to be hanged on the glass partition. 2. There was no clothesline to hang cloths for drying. Got to spread on the plastic chairs in verandah where there is lot of sunlight. Normally it is provided in Bath room. 3. The hotel provides 2X500 ml mineral (Bisleri) water bottles each day for double occupancy, which just not sufficient, costing Rs 20. 00 where in 2 liter Bisleri bottle costs Rs 30. 00. Management may consider this. 4. The breakfast timings are from 0730 hrs to 1030 hrs where in checkout timing is 0800 hrs. Breakfast is part of package for the stay. That means you have to check out before breakfast and keep the luggage out while having breakfast. Or else you have to request management for late check out. All over the world check out time is between 10 to 12 pm and 8 am check out timings were there when all tourist use to use only train as a mode. 5. In the pool facing room, there is a balcony having two plastic chairs to sit but no center table (MAY BE OF PLASTIC) which could be used as tea table.

Hotel Holiday resort suites were too costly

6.0/7
Posted 21 Aug, 2013

We booked Jamindar's Palace for our Honeymoon stay. And we did so after lots of research. We didn't wanted to spoil our experience and wanted a pleasant stay so we went through numerous reviews and shortlisted Aveda Resort, Jamindar's palace, Hotel Holiday resort, Hans Coco palm. We ruled out Aveda because it was too far and we heard that bridge connecting sea and resort was broken due to winds. Hotel Holiday resort suites were too costly and rooms were not quite good enough in photos and also they were charging 20% extra service charge. Our main priority was room and beach view. So we ended up between Hans coco palm and Jamindar's palace. Hans coco palm exterior was too good but rooms reviews were not good and also the photos were not encouraging. So finally after so much of thinking we booked a suite in Jamindar's palace. We sent a mail to them and asked for their best deal and they provided us a very good deal so we went ahead with it leaving the rest on luck. And I must say I m glad that I booked it. It was just what I wanted. Rooms were too good. Its a new property so everything was fresh and good. Fittings in rooms bathrooms everything was just fine. And yes the balcony they have its spacious and the sea view cannot be better than that. It was too good . The location of the hotel is awesome. Just beside Mayfair. Its too near to railway station and a little far from main Puri. So beach is just perfect you to enjoy. Not too crowd and neither lonely. Just perfect the way it should be . Staff were good and service was more than satisfactory. They even allowed us to check various rooms before finalizing one despite the fact they already kept one room ready for us. And also they extended our check out time by one hour on our request . The hotel really want to keep their visitors happy and leave a good impression and they did. I recommend this hotel.

Simply fantastic location

6.6/7

Jamindars Palace once fully completed will be one of the Top Three properties in Puri, Orissa for sure. The location is Simply Fantastic and you can enjoy the nature by being inside the room and at your own leisure . . Beautifully done up rooms with quality stuff. No compromise made. From the rooms you can enjoy Sun rise and also watch the lovely skies changing its color during sun set Service Quality and behavior of staff is really appreciable and they go out of the way to help the guests Once the restaurant is launched (under construction) and the rest of room added (currently only 30 operational rooms) am sure Jamindar Palace will be one the most sought after properties in Puri

Pleasant stay and mostly suited for couples

5.4/7

This hotel is located in marine drive and it is far away from sea beach. It will took around 10 minutes from auto to reach the beach. After checking in we were provided a complimentary breakfast which was of good taste and of good quality. The room interior was very good and room was also big. It has 1 bed and quality of mattress was awesome, 1 Sofa, 1 Big table, 2 Chairs, 1 LED TV with cable connection. I was completely satisfied from room. The hotel staff were of good mannered and I really liked the way they greet. It has inbuilt restaurant and provides delicious food. It also has a swimming pool. Only thing which I didn't find is different types of spa which they say to have on their sites. Best place for couples to spend some time together.
