A memorial for the Paramvir Chakra Jaswant Singh who defended the area even after the death of his Colleagues in the Indo-China war of 1962. It is said he battled for 72 hours alone. Even now the army washes his uniform regularly and believes that he still comes back to wear them.

"Be Face to Face With Jaswant"

This is the caption of the place. This is a small memorial in the memory of Great Rifle man Jaswant Sing. In 1962 war he fought with the Chinese army single handedly and killed 200 Chinese soldiers. Later he was arrested, hanged with a piece of metal rope in an adjacent tree. Chinese took his head to China. His body was buried at the same place. This is the history of Jaswant Garh. Indian Army serves free tea to all visitors. Salute to the Brave man.

Jaswant Singh is the real hero for us. His sacrifice for our country is wordless. I am proud to be Indian. And when you visit this place at least try to feel the value of that place.
