I didn’t face any problem in this hotel. I was satisfied with this hotel stay. The appearance of this hotel was ok. The front office was not there in this hotel. The staff's in the hotel were well behaved and helpful. The activities like gym, swimming pool and spa were not conducted by the hotel. The hotel was located outside the city. The destination of the hotel was excellent. I would suggest this hotel to improve the varieties of the breakfast. The quality and taste of the food was good.
Location is very good and surrounding places are also super. Hotel is good and room is also good. Its good place to stay for 2 nights. Hotel room are of normal size. As compare with rates room are little bit small. The room was neat and clean. Bathrooms had hot water most of the times.Overall, a good place to stay at Nainital if you are on your vacation with lots of happening places around.
The hotel location was good there was no difficulty in finding or reaching to the hotel. The staff members were courteous. The room was well maintained with all the appliances in good conditions and there was hill view from the room. The food was good and provided veg food. There were outdoor games. It was adventurous and relaxation trip with my family. The exterior and the interior maintenance of the hotel were good. There was no delay in check in and checkout procedure. The management arranged sightseeing trip.
It\'s absolutely amazing when you realise that this place is only around 1.5-2 hours from Bhimtal - a half hour drive (13 Kms on the Padampuri road up to Matial), and then 1-1.5 hours walk up the hill. And tough or taxing as the climb may seem, it\'s well worth the effort. Steve Lall and his family (wife Parvati, daughter Nandini and dogs Dhannu, Kaali, Bhonu nad others), the owners of the estate, make you feel completely at home, right from their first hello and up to their last goodbye. If you\'re looking for some peace and quiet, well, it doesn\'t get any more peaceful and quieter than this! If you\'re looking for greenery, well, this is as green as it gets! And if you\'re looking to walk in the hills, well then, 95 acres of thick, forested hills should be quite sufficient! And the dogs would be only too happy to give you company, if you\'re an animal lover. In the three days that i spent there, i walked the length and breadth of the estate, and watched the sun rise and set from different points all over the estate. A climb up to the ridge to catch the sunrise is a must-do. Set out early (one of their staff will be only too happy to guide you) in the morning, carry sandwiches and tea and, after watching the sunrise, walk along the ridge. stop wherever you\'d like and have a breakfast picnic, overlooking the villages down below. In the distance, you can see Bhimtal and Haldwani below you. Come back to the house by another route, and you might be lucky enough to see some animals. The cottages are pretty, and each one is some distance away from the rest, giving oyu enough privacy. And each cottage has a dedicated staff, just a call or a shout away. Go and spend some time there, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. You\'ll thank yourself for it.
A hideaway to beat all others.
A hideaway to beat all others.
A great place to escape to, where you really are away from the madness of city life. No phones or television or room service, but thats definately a positive. The surrounding woods are great to walk around, the weather great and the views - incredible. The walk up to the estate is a bit steep, but well worth the effort once you`re there. The food - not the room service option, but its good wholesome tasty stuff, cooked by the cottage caretakers.
Pure heaven! And Steve Lall a God!
very relaxing weekend getaway. the best part is that only true nature-enthusiasts come here as the trek from the car-park to the resort is almost an hour. chill in the cottage soaking in the beautiful view!
Very convenient location with a 1.5 hr drive from Kathgodam after an overnight train ride. The resort is not touristy and is a great relief to reach after an hours worth of steep climb from the motorable road. Service is good and so is the food. The high point is the owners Steve Lall and Parvati who treat guests more like guests at their own home.
Jilling Estate Overview
The perfect spot for nature lovers, Jilling Estate is located in a middle of dense nature around the foothills of the Kumaon Ranges. Just four cottages spread across 100 acres, it is ideal for getting away from people and becoming one with the lush nature around.
They provide simple but charming services like walks through the woods, camping on the ridge, simple home-cooked meals around crackling bonfires and a quaint little library. The ideal seasons to visit are from April to June and September/October. The wildflowers are in full bloom, stretching from the high altitude pastures to the snow line.
