Convenient place to stay, cooperative staff

Posted 27 Oct, 2015

Halebid is famous for it's stone sculptures carving at Shiva temple. Right opposite to the temple is Hotel KSTDC Mayura Shantala. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Although, the toilet was most disappointing. Hot water was not available. The staff were very cooperative and polite. Restaurant was also good with good room service. Although, there are other smaller restaurants in market. I advise to use the one at the hotel only. Surroundings of the hotel are very nice with garden etc. Nice place to stay at.

Decent location with good appearance

Posted 2 Feb, 2016

I travelled with my family and stayed in the KSTDC Mayura Shantala in the month of July. It was convenient to locate the hotel and location was good. The room allotted to me was good and was well maintained with all basic amenities. There was no delay in check in and checkout. The appearance of the hotel was good. The staff members in the hotel were obliging and quick in services. The food served in the hotel was good in quality and in taste with varieties. No activities available but garden was good at the hotel. Overall, the stay in the hotel was value for money and the destination was good. I will recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Best hotel and very helpful staff

Posted 27 Apr, 2015

This hotel is just in front of Halebidu temple. We can see the temple from hotel room and staff is very helpful. It is govt managed but service is very good. I booked my rooms and dinner just by giving a call to rajanna/papanna. I was little doubt whether they will prepare food or not but for my surprise they prepared very good meal for all of us. Even breakfast is really good. The garden, sit-out, morning coffee all are really good. This hotel has 3 a/c rooms and 4 people bedroom. Neat and almost like a private resort. 1500 per A/C room, may be the best in Halebid.

Expensive hotel but average food service

Posted 2 Jan, 2015

The hotel location was fine. The staff behaviour and the services provided by them were good. The appearance was good from outside and inside. The rooms was well maintained, neat and clean. All amenities in the room were good and in working condition. But in the wash-rooms, the shower and geyser were not working properly. They had a garden for the children to play. The food was good and both Veg and Non Veg type of food was served, but with less varieties. If we order in more quantity they cook, otherwise they won't cook. There were no activities in hotel and no sight seeing trip was arranged. The amount paid at the hotel was a little high and it was costly. I suggest that the garden should be maintained properly.

Staff were courteous & helpful, Good accommodation

Posted 2 May, 2014

Overall experience has been great. A nice place to spend time with family and to relax. There is not much as amenities at the Hotel itself, but the close proximity to the temple and other places of visit make up for it. The staff were courteous and helpful. Accommodation, restaurant all were good. They do not have too many rooms, so if your planning during the season then advance booking is recommended
