Kailash Beach Resort, Pondicherry

Very good. The place is a little away from the main town, so not to many places to see around here but a very nice place.

Best Experience: The pool at the resort is probably its best feature. Well maintained, underwater lighting at night- perfect for a caouple of laps or to sit by and relax.

Worst Experience: Though the resort has a private access to the beach, the beach itself is frequented by people from the nearby fishing villages and this leads to scuffles at times. So make sure to let the staff at the resort know you are going down to the beach.

During our stay in Kailash Beach resort, Pondycherry , we were not very comfortable and satisfied due to the following reasons ? : 1. Initially by our mail which is forwarded, herewith, we asked a room near to swimming pool . However there was lot of disturbances in breaking of wall renovation (Near Room No. 15) which we were forced to go faraway from swimming pool and could not monitor our son who is aged 8 years old ?. In fact, there was no coach / guide/ supervisor near swimming pool all the time which is must for any sort of emergency help etc. 2. On the day of arrival ie. 17th Sept around 1.30 P.M. we had vegetable birayani and raitha was served for this. It was almost spoiled / bitter for which our son could not have it with no other choice . 3. There was no proper breakfast provided(complimentary) and also no proper choices given to us with different varities ( Only idli, vada & bread , jam was provided) . You should have at least make 2 - 3 different varieties of items like Dosa, uppama, poori etc . 4. Also , before having breakfast , we enquired whether Dosa is available since our son was liking most, however, dosa was not served and on enquirying it was told that today not prepared due to reason that some Norway foreigners have come and preparations are on for them ( Non vegetarian) 5. Please give first preference for the Indians, as we are also human beings and first respect indian culture and people etc and revenue is last.. 6. We asked to serve coffee/ tea pots during morning , however all the saucers, cups were not cleaned properly and lot of staines where noticed and asked the boys to bring new one. Lot of supervision is required at your resort . 7. There was no proper break fast , lunch or dinner at your resort especially for vegetarians like us . We need to travel a long to Pondy cherry or cuddalore spending lot of money on petrol and cost of food for which we have spent nearly Rs. 3000/- for three days. Out of three days stay at resort we did not have even one breakfast, dinner or lunch properly , reason being No vegetarian food was available as first preference were given for Non Vegetarian foods ( Foreigners). Please note that , you have completely neglected indians like us . 8. The Room charges which you have taken from us is very exhorbitant ie. Rs.3500 per night for two days Rs.7500 /- without providing proper food which was already asked by us in the mail (Vegetarian) before leaving Bangalore and it was rest assured over phone. However, tt is not worth to pay so much amount without having friendly atmosphere with customer service and also improper facilities including food which is very very important and essential for a customer. 9. Our purpose of staying at resort was to have good relaxation for having come far away from Bangalore 350 kms to your resort ( 700 Kms) and if proper food was not served to customer , there is no meaning to pay such amount which is not reasonable and justified. 10.We were satisfied only with eco friendly enviornment at your resort and not all happy with other facilities provided including food etc which is the basic necessity for the resort to provie to the customers. Please note that we are already member of Club mahindra and also RCI member. We came to know through web site showing lot of facilities available including food ( vegetarian) which has misleaded us forceably to stay in your resort before we left bangalore and also it was promised over phone and through mail that it would be taken care but to our surprise and shock our request was not sorted out timely/ satisfactorily. We hope that the above reasons which we have stated would give scope for improvement at your resort in future . Please give reply pointwise for action taken and also request you to refund the full amount collected from us Rs. 7500 /- favouring cheque in my favour Mr. K. GOPAL, to my residence address immediately , due to non availablity of above facilities since our stay at your resort was not comfortable for all the three days ( 17th - 19th September, 2009) . Infact, we want to refer to some of our friends and relatives to stay in your resort but unfortunately our experience in staying at your resort has disappointed us badly. Worst Experience: Not hygenic the restuarant , No proper supervison timely for clealiness and also no deputation of coach in swimming pool for children for safety, No vegetarian food and No choices given . Lack of Room service and needs reminder regularly
