Kalbhairav Temple

Kalbhairav Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is counted among one of the oldest temples of Maharashtra. This holy shrine houses the idol of Lord Shiva as the main deity. Along with this main idol, the temple also contains an idol of Kalbhairav, who is considered as the lord of all manthrashastras.    

As per legend, Lord Shiva is believed to be the creator of Kalbhairav. He is also believed to have blessed him with all the manthrashastras. Besides, tourists can also visit Yogeshwari Temple situated in the premises of Kalbhairav Temple that is also known as Dakshin Kashi.  

Located in close vicinity of the Harihareshwar Beach, the temple displays beautiful architectural work. Besides, this temple is visited by several devotees on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival.
