Situated on the bank of River Shipra, the Kaliadeh Palace is a classic example of Persian architecture. The river flowing on both sides of the palace, along with some man-made tanks and channels, forms a beautiful backdrop.
Two Persian inscriptions are also found in one of the corridors of the palace, which record the visit of Emperor Akbar and Jehangir to the site. The palace was knocked down in the time of Pindaris and was again restored by Madhav Rao Scindia.
