Chennai food, sight-seeing and shopping options
This place is in Adyar. It is in the midst of a small woods in the busy town. Almost one km walk from the gate. The temple believed to be built in 1925. Most of the Chennaites are not aware there is a Buddhist temple in Chennai. The other photo is also of a good old, maybe 4 to 5 centuries old, banyan tree.

Hotel Review of Kanchi Hotel
We checked in at the hotel around 2.30 am after arriving from the USA. Though booking was made on line sufficiently in advance, we found the reception desk was empty, the watchman sleeping and had to be woken up...
