Another
tourist spot which garners equal interest is the Kanhoji Angre Samadhi. The
structure has eight faces and the pillars are exquisitely sculpted. Though in a
dilapidated state presently, it stands in the hallowed memory of the great
Maratha Admiral Kanhoji Angre.
Both
these sights foster a lot of interest in the minds of the travellers to
Alibaug. Drawing larger crowds of tourists each year, the Magnetic Observatory
and the Kanhoji Angre Samadhi are growing in popularity as more and more time
goes by.

I'm sutapa bhattacharjee we are planning to visit alibaug during our diwali holidays, will be coming with one more couple, we have our own vehicle, would like to know how to reach alibaug by road from nasik? what is the distance in kms? time required? will it be safe to drive by road or any other mode is advisable? what are the best but lowest fare available for hotels preferably mtdc hotels? what would be the tariff? can we cover all the places in two days?
