Kasauli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
We did not venture much out of our own hotel - Hotel Roscommon as that seemed to be the place that most non-residents seemed to come to for lunch and dinner.
You can go for walks along the upper mall road or the lower mall road. The views from these, the quaint little bungalows (estates as the locals call them), the trees, the flowers along the roadside all make up for a heady cocktail. So give up your cars and start walking. Be it early or morning, late afternoon or early evening, just take a stroll down the lower mall road, beyond sunset point - we just enjoyed the whole place... The church in the middle of the town with the sun dial is a must visit.
Shopping is fairly limited to local produce and some amazing fruit wines - just go ahead and taste them and you will end up buying cartons - apple cider, peach, pear, apricot.... the list is endless.

It is the worst kept hotel in that area. 1-The TV's power chord plus the cable hook-up wire were un-plugged from source. 2-The telephone connecting cable was lying loose on the floor and there was no telephone equipment, 3-The drinking water thermos had burn marks on the outside, strains inside and...

Hotel Review of Alasia, Hotel
Kasauli is a beautiful, serene, little known hill station in Himachal aptly suited to calm your tense nerves away from the hustle-bustle of a regular hill-station with tourists falling over each other. The best part about Hotel Alasia is the location. It is bang in the centre of the town with a distance of merely 40-50 steps from the Lower Mall Road unlike other resorts like Baikunth, Kasauli etc. which are quite far off. Consequently you can go out for...

Hotel Review of Alasia, Hotel
Beautiful resort with lovely hospitality of the old world. The place is a quaint little sleepy town with the quietude and scenic beauty being its virtues. The accessibility too is travel friendly....
