Kasauli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Kasauli is an old 17 century town which was not very famous till the tourist hawks discovered it. But the town still offers it original charm with those British buildings & roads. There are very few things to visit at Kasauli. The main attraction here being Anglican Christ Church that is located bang on the mall. A beautiful British building built in a shape of cross amidst chestnut and fir tress. There is also upper and lower mall. This is very small market with not too many shops where the locals still shop unlike all other mall roads where the locals have stopped visiting. You could still taste those original Mommo’s at one of the Tibetan shop. You could find some souvenir made out of this place. Just a walk around this mall is so enjoyable with no vehicles around. There is also a Monkey Point form where you could view river Sutlej and plains of Chandigarh. But it was very cloudy hence we did not visit this place. This happens to be the highest point of Kasauli.

Comments: Excellent property. Not the greatest of locations/views, but well made/managed and kept. Rooms are excellent, clean & comfortable with nice balconies/outdoor, complete with all amenities like kettle, heating/cooling, etc and service prompt and friendly. Food apart from location is the only other negative I can think of but with giani ka dhaba just about 20 Min drive away, is hardly a concern!
Best Experience: Everything fromn the beauty and design of the property, activity room for kids [though not in the best of maintenance], playing cricket in nets, TT, Carrom, pool,etc etc.you do not need to go to kasauli. the resort has lots to keep you busy!
Worst Experience: Food is expensive and tasteless!

If you are looking forward to a long walk amidst the happening mall, this is definately the place. This place is for those who want to walk but not with the shops but with your loved ones. The only view you have is plush greenery giving a blanket to the beutiful mountains. The clouds help you in hiding from the peopple around.
