Kasauli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Kasauli is an old 17 century town which was not very famous till the tourist hawks discovered it. But the town still offers it original charm with those British buildings & roads. There are very few things to visit at Kasauli. The main attraction here being Anglican Christ Church that is located bang on the mall. A beautiful British building built in a shape of cross amidst chestnut and fir tress. There is also upper and lower mall. This is very small market with not too many shops where the locals still shop unlike all other mall roads where the locals have stopped visiting. You could still taste those original Mommo’s at one of the Tibetan shop. You could find some souvenir made out of this place. Just a walk around this mall is so enjoyable with no vehicles around. There is also a Monkey Point form where you could view river Sutlej and plains of Chandigarh. But it was very cloudy hence we did not visit this place. This happens to be the highest point of Kasauli.

Hotel Review of Ross Common
Comments: We had booked from delhi for 16th August and they booked us in Annexe without providing much information. When we reached there it was in horrible condition, not even livable state. Staff was not at all courtious and even refused to refund our money so that we can stay in some other hotel/resort.
Best Experience: None
Worst Experience: They deleted annexe from list on 8th August without informing us. We had prior booking and place was in REAL BAD SHAPE. Staying there was not at all feasible. We left the place immediately and stayed in Alisia. Refund is still pending which Delhi office has also refused to comment upon.

Hotel Review of Ross Common
Kasauli is a small and quiet place, ideal for a peaceful vacation. I enjoyed the 4 days we spent there. The hotel is reasonably well maintained, but in the overall experice I find it a bit overpriced for the quality of services offered....

Hotel Review of Ross Common
I booked a room in the annexure. The booking office in Delhi did not fully give information on how far the annexure is. Reaching the annexure is a bit of a problem because of the distance. At night it can be specially daunting because of absence of street lights. Otherwise, the resort itself is a bit quaint, and is a nice experience is you are ready to overlook the lack of facilities. It is 2 mins walking distance from the town...
