Kasauli food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Kasauli is an old 17 century town which was not very famous till the tourist hawks discovered it. But the town still offers it original charm with those British buildings & roads. There are very few things to visit at Kasauli. The main attraction here being Anglican Christ Church that is located bang on the mall. A beautiful British building built in a shape of cross amidst chestnut and fir tress. There is also upper and lower mall. This is very small market with not too many shops where the locals still shop unlike all other mall roads where the locals have stopped visiting. You could still taste those original Mommo’s at one of the Tibetan shop. You could find some souvenir made out of this place. Just a walk around this mall is so enjoyable with no vehicles around. There is also a Monkey Point form where you could view river Sutlej and plains of Chandigarh. But it was very cloudy hence we did not visit this place. This happens to be the highest point of Kasauli.

Hotel Review of Winnies Holiday Inn
Comments: We stayed in a cottage which was quite a distance from the other dwellings which makes it a perfect get away from the hum drum and provides excellent privacy. Rooms are clean and the hot water showers excellent. The amazing and clear view of the valley from the big window was a visual treat. It rained in the night and whole valley was awash with the freshness of the smell of earth and aglow with the lightening in the distant hills.
Best Experience: Complete privacy and non intrusive service is a welcome relief
Worst Experience: Parking your vehicles is a minor problem

The mountains are great and chilly at night. Walking through the fog was a mesmerizing experience. Not crowded at all. People are friendly and great samosas and momos in the tiny tibetan market...

We had a wonderfull weekend with our family. We had enjoyed a lot. Winnies holiday inn has a beautiful loaction for nature lover away from hustle bustle city just in the lap of nature. All the rooms are in hill view location. It is beautifully constructed in beautiful location. Please Holiday inn is paradise for nature lover and hell who loves to stay in the busy place because it is 6 Kms before the Kasauli....

Kasuali in any case is a beautiful place to be. A good surroundings makes your trip so fascinating and that gets enhanced when the place you stay is at par with nature. The hotel is owned by Mr Chadha and offers all the basic amenities. We stayed at family cottage on the top floor which offers uninterrupted view of hills and valley....
