Its a great place for purchasing spiritual objects as well as experiencing Kashmiri and Jammu culture - you can buy almost anything from the valley in Katra, be it kashmiri garlic, walnuts, kesar to gemstones and pendants
The town's scenic beauty is great by itself, and some of the panoramas from the Vaishno Devi trek are fabulous.

Hotel Review of Bandhu Palace Hotel
Comments: The ambiance and decor of the hotel is just ok. The carpet was dirty and there is no power point where one could charge the mobile. And the AC was noisy. There was no arrangement for food except bread and butter due to some problem in Jammu but the staff was very supportive and location is nice.
Best Experience: The staff was well behaved and location is nice.
Worst Experience: The AC was to noisy and there was no arrangement for food except bread and butter or tead.
