Kausani food, sight-seeing and shopping options
There isn't much sightseeing to do here. The Anashakti Ashram, where Gandhiji spent a few days, is open for public. It is a historic monument of sorts where one can view Gandhi history and his ways of living. Again, the view of the Himalayan range is just spectacular from here.
The Baijnath temple located at 22 kms from Kausani is a must visit for the religious minded. The temple architecture, combined with the serene backdrop can be a soothing balm to the soul.
There is no local market as such. A few shops are clustered in an area called the Mall road.

Hotel Review of Pine Havens Hotel
Well this is a review regarding hotel Pine Heavens in Kasuani, where I stayed with my parents this June 2009 or Summer and to say the least my stay at this hotel was pathetic .Kasuani was the last destination of our trip .We first went to Ranikhet ,then Almore from there we went to Kasuani . I will like to start of with liitle bit about this hill station as well .Kasauni was quoted as "Switzerland of India"...
