Very pleasant stay and enjoyed a lot at resort. New name is Royal Grove and worth the money. Pleasant and luxurious stay, and also nice and clean rooms. Swimming pool and gym are also well-maintained. Location is superb and staff is cooperative. Overall good experience.

Perfect hotel for spending good time with family. Ambience to service everything was good. Just wanted some more events for children. Food was awesome but very expensive. We stayed about 4 days almost and we enjoyed to the topmost.

Looks good at the first look but too small & nothing much to do. Pool is good and rooms are just average. Food is very bad, as all the 5 days not once we were served good food. We went to Zuri next door for lunch and at a 20% extra charge they served us excellent food & Zuri looks so amazing.

Hotel has all the comforts of a modern hotel. Swimming pool tiles were coming out from the bottom which were dangerous. Water needs to be cleaner.

Drive to Cochin airport is long so give yourself at least 2.5 hours during the day. Ask the taxi driver to take the highway, it is shorter. Cost around Rs. 2,800.

Go for backwater boat ride and try the local food including Toddy. Really good.

Treat yourself to a body massage and sirodhara, hunt around for prices. Government run Spas are cheaper.

My experience at Kayal Resort was so superb that it broke my heart to leave the place. We enjoyed every moment and everything that the resort had to offer. The stupendous view, the sheer luxury and comfort of the rooms. The services of the ever courteous staff, always smiling, the excellent food just as if I had cooked it in the kitchen was what made our stay unforgettable. Yeh dil maange more of Kayal. Definitely coming back soon.

The hotel was conveniently located and it was located outskirt of the city. We stayed there for 1 day and there were no issues with this hotel. The rooms were clean and neat with all the facilities like AC, TV, fridge and geyser facility was in working condition. The restroom was well maintained. We had food outside and there arranged for boating. Overall experience in the hotel was good and it is a recommendable hotel. It was value for the money and it is a good place for relaxation.

Beautiful location. Liked the spacious clean rooms with all essential amenities, night time view of resort is awesome. Staff is very co-operative & prompt in services. Worth spending few days in resort. Ambiance is different & unique from many other properties I have visited in the past.

What can I say. Stayed at this place and it was fantastic from the moment we walked in. Our flight landed at night at Kochi and by the time we reached this place, it was 12:30 in the night and view of the place when we entered the gate was enough to ease away our tensions of the long flight. This place was away from the city very close to the Zuri resort. For the same view and I guess similar service, these guys charge you a pittance of what Zuri charges. So great value for money. The place was beautiful. On the banks of the lake Vembanad. Hell, they even have the lake's water flowing all through the resort and have planks kept over it. And you walk over those planks to go to your room, to the gym, to the restaurant basically anywhere around the hotel. Quite quirky and neat touch. The place was clean, the rooms are big. I could measure it to around 200 square feet plus in size. The food was good, the staff helpful and they keep the place all prim and proper. The view of the lake was just amazing. You can watch the houseboats go by and way out to people if you want to, just gaze around the lake, watch the fishes and ducks or sit with a book and just relax. They even have their own houseboat which you can rent for the day or night. The boat is very well kept and maintained. I was there for 4 days and absolutely loved getting up in the morning to the view of the lake from bedroom (that's the view from every room). Food was great. Sufficient options for Westerners and Indians. You won;t find a better place than this for this value anywhere in this city.

It was a holiday picnic with family members. The best thing I liked about this hotel was its location. The surrounding of the hotel was peaceful. There was a swimming pool, gym and spa facility provided in the hotel. The hotel was arranging sightseeing on request. The food served by the staff was good. Both Vegetarian and non vegetarian food were provided in the hotel. The room was spacious and well-maintained. There was a Wi-Fi facility provided in the hotel. I did see the lake view from the room balcony. The hotel was worth for money.
