Our experience at the resort started with a warm welcome. We found the service by the staff very good and helpful. The resort offered a very good view of the backwaters. Food cuisine was basically Kerala type which we enjoyed but still we feel a wider choice should have been offered. On the whole a very enjoyable experience.

I stayed in the Kayal Resort hotel in the month of November with my family. It was not convenient to travel to the hotel, and the surrounding of the hotel was nice. The interior and exterior appearance of this hotel was good. The check-in and check-out process was done on time. The behaviour of the staff in the hotel was good and they were helpful and friendly in service. The room allotted to me, was maintained well with working amenities and there was a good view from the room too. I ate food in the hotel restaurant, it was tasty, but the price was expensive. The money spent for this hotel was worth the pay and I will recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Excellent hotel with great staff and delicious food. The views are breathtaking and worth the premium rates. Well-designed and spacious rooms with all the amenities. Loved every minute of our stay. Everyone should experience this hotel. They make events in evening for the hotel customers and they are awesome events.

I visited this hotel The Royal Grove in the month of May with family for relaxation purpose and we had a nice experience in the hotel. The hotel was conveniently located and it was near lake. The check-in and check-out process was done on time. The behaviour of the staff in the hotel was helpful and friendly in service. I ate food in the hotel restaurant and the quality was not good. They gave good welcome drink. The room allotted to me was good and well maintained, and they provided all required amenities in working condition. There were indoor and outdoor games available in the hotel and it was good. There were also gym and pool facility in the hotel. The hotel was very good and I will recommend to other travellers.

Nestled along the banks of the massive vembanad lake in the tiny town of kumarakom this property provides u with the highest level of service and accommodation possible! Things worth noticing would be the restaurant, it offers really good authentic cuisine.

Personal suggestion -"Eat here whenever possible! "Also they have their own houseboat which can be used by the guests. It is lovely to sit besides the pool and look at the sun disappear into the horizon. Highly recommended place!! Do call if u need any company :-P

Looks good at the first look but too small & nothing much to do. Pool is good and rooms are just average. Food is very bad, as all the 5 days not once we were served good food. We went to Zuri next door for lunch and at a 20% extra charge they served us excellent food & Zuri looks so amazing.

Hotel has all the comforts of a modern hotel. Swimming pool tiles were coming out from the bottom which were dangerous. Water needs to be cleaner.

Drive to Cochin airport is long so give yourself at least 2.5 hours during the day. Ask the taxi driver to take the highway, it is shorter. Cost around Rs. 2,800.

Go for backwater boat ride and try the local food including Toddy. Really good.

Treat yourself to a body massage and sirodhara, hunt around for prices. Government run Spas are cheaper.
