About Khali Estate (Offbeat Attraction)

Khali Estate, sprawling over an area of 26 acres, is set amidst the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. From 1856 to 1884, this beautiful estate was home to the commissioner of Kumaon, Sir Henry Ramsay.

An epitome of natural beauty, tourists visiting the Khali Estate can also enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayan Range. At this estate, sister of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Vijay Laxmi Pandit also resided. Moreover, it is the same place where 'Shailashram' was started by Jamnalal Bajaj of Gandhi-Seva-Trust. In addition to resting at this estate, travellers visiting the place can also engage in long treks up to the top of Binsar or down to the villages.
