Hotel Review of Treasure Island Resorts
Comments: The biggest positive of the resort is the easy access from Mumbai--it is within a couple of hours driving distance. We went through RCI, and it was one of the few resorts available near Mumbai which has 2 bedroom apartments.
The location was nothing out of the ordinary--it is actually near the old Mumbai-Pune highway. The rooms were quite nice, large and reasonably maintained. There is a decent swimming pool with a small water fall. It has a play area for kids, but little else by way of activities. But we had two small kids, and were fine with all this, a location near Mumbai and a near last minute plan to chill out.
Best Experience: The resort has a decent swimming pool, with a small slide and a water fall.
The room are comfortable and we had a good experience with room service and the restaurant, although it was mostly open only around meal times.
It is a quiet and peaceful place normally.
Worst Experience: The resort, due to its location, is often a venue for weddings. There was one such wedding when we were there--which was hugely disruptive to guests as all facilities, parking spots were taken away and the entire place was very noisy until late at night.
There are not too many great sites close by, we liked the Karla Caves and some gardens. Of course both Lonavla and Khandala are nearby.

this was one long awaited trip as lonavala in the rains is a dream come true. all went well except the resort which surprisingly is RCI gold rated. this is one of the worst resorts i I've ever stayed in,with stinking rooms,poor food services and rude staff all at the reception itself. my advice stay away from treasure islands which is over rated by all standards....

Both of us i.e me nd my hubby were looking for a short break from a long time but jus could nt get away . We had got this complimentory stay at a resort treasure islands at lonavala which was valid till 31st march.So thought complimentary wouldnt be that great but thought still lets give a try nd werent expecting much. This resort is a little on the outskirts of lonavala at karla national highway nh4 dats like around 7-8 kms...

Went there with my brother and sister in-laws and was expecting it to be a wonderful experience (my first visit to Lonavala/Khandala and also my first with my in-laws). It turned out to be the exact opposite - the hotel was pathetic and so was the service and food. The rooms were shady and short of look and feel for the huge price that i paid for them. Initially they were putting us in one extreme corner of the property...

The resort is quite beautiful. The swimming pool is artistic, but needs to be cleaned up. Rooms are nice, with a good view, but they seemed too large for the sort of furniture that was placed in them. Service needs to be more prompt. Overall the resort is beautiful, and is a good weekend getaway....

I must say that the the food was great!! Kudos to the chef! The buffet-style breakfast and dinner had a kind of variety that I'd never seen/tasted before. The Hotel is pure Veg which is another great plus point for strict vegetarians like me. The Pool and waterfall look beautiful together. the resort itself is quite good to stay. but it is located 5 kms outside lonavla on the highway. the resort doesnt have any activities to offer other than kids games !! the rooms r good and its a good place to stay for a quiet weekend....
