Hotel Review of Sai Inn Holiday Resort
Comments: The sea at Alibag was most disappointing. The access is narrow and dirty though the water was clean. No beach to talk of. No area with clean dry sand.
The Hotel Sai Inn seems to have been made with great taste and good concept. however it is very poorly managed. The standard rooms are spacious but bathrooms are poorly maintained. The swimming pool has a slimy floor (probably not cleaned in a long while). Theonly hammocks are in the pictures advertised on the net. On enquiry we were told that they are dangerous in the rains. when we visited today there was not a drop of rain with clear and sunny skies. despite repeated requests they did not oblige us. There were some groups at the same time so the hotel seemed to be very short staffed. Lunch was not ready even at 1.30pm. we had to feed our children snacks to keep the hunger away. The food was very oily and spicy (not suitable for children). In the evening, tea is not available even at 5pm so we have outside. The dinner is not ready till 9.30pm so children cannot have. (whats the use of the meal package??) No waiters to serve at Buffet. drinks and smoking permitted in the restaurant with no seperate family area. inspite request, no one from the hotel wants to stop the smoking guest when the children are around. (probably they give bigger tips). The snooker table is in restaurant so cannot play except between 11am and 1pm and then between 4pm-7pm.

Lawns are good, garden is nice and children enjoyed their play area... the only saving grace of the hotel.

Overall not worth the cost or the effort of driving down. The beach is the biggest disappointment.
Best Experience: very good garden at the Hotel with swings and slides for children.
Worst Experience: very poor hospitality and coutesy. very late food timings not suitable for children. poorly staffed hotel.

Nice place to stay while exploring nearby beaches and forts. Lot of open space in the resort. Has a good capacity diesel genset - this is a must especially in rural Maharashtra where load-shedding could be upto 8 hours daily. Airconditioner also works on the genset....
