Kodai Resort Reviews
The hotel was very nice. I had visited this hotel with my family. I would like to recommend this hotel for other traveller. The staff’s behaviour was very polite in the hotel. The best part of the hotel was everything. The allotted room was OK. The manager behaviour was very nice. The service was done on time.
Beautiful location and sumptuous food. Specially the hospitality which this resort offers. I recommend all to visot at lest once. There cottage s are really beautiful. They have a separate deck for every cottage.
We stayed there for 2 days. Our room had a awesome view. Room was clean, service was great, breakfast buffet was nice but food ordered in room was too expensive and not worth at all. Kodaikanal lake is walking distance from resort.. And other sites were also with 7-8 kms proximity.
I found it comfortable. I was on family vacation with my kids all enjoyed the stay. Rooms was good and clean. Kids liked the well-maintained park. Walking distance from lake was specially enjoyed by my wife. Overall, experience of hotel was satisfactory.
I had visited this hotel for official purpose. All amenities were provided in the room were working well. The food was good with quality and quantity. The behaviour of the staff was very good cooperative. The check in and checkout was done on time. The room service was good.
The hotel stay very near to bus stand and all major tourist attraction like comers walk, Kodaikanal lake. It have a beautifully maintained park which kids can really enjoy. Rooms are spacious and clean, even you have private balcony in spacious.
We find that Kodai Resort is one of the best in Kodaikanal, Located roughly 500 meters from bus stand and within walking distance to many tourist attractions(Coakers walk and Bryant park and Kodai Lake). From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we had great service. All the staff were efficient. Stayed July 2016, travelled with wife.
Kodai resort is one of it's class with all sightseeing spots located near by like coakers walk, Bryant park and lake etc. Service is also at par with smiling employees. To say special about this resort is corridor where you can sit back with your loved one and relax.
Really very good resorts. The service, ambiance, location and all other things are very good. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Each room / cottage are provided with beautiful sit outs facing the garden and it has to be experienced. Only suggestion is if they extend a small fruit basket it would have been a nice gesture. We will go again.
Cottage was clean and well decorate with all types of morden facilities. Staff mambers are polite and respectful .. Love to be visit there again with my while family ...
Top Reviews of Kodai Resort
Kodai resort is located close to Kodai Lake, Coaker's Walk and town centre. Property is well maintained and we loved the ambiance. The private terrace gives a nice view. During our stay, it was mostly foggy but on the second day, we got to see the sunrise from our terrace and it was mesmerising (Photo shared). Rooms are clean and maintained properly. Housekeeping is managed well. Staff is courteous and helping. Food also is fine. Complementary breakfast spread is decent and filling. Room service was timely. Tasty food too. We were told that even if an item is not there on menu, we can reach out to the Chef, which was a kind gesture. Travel desk was very helpful. Our sightseeing was very well coordinated. Drivers, especially, were very courteous. Regarding the tour pricing, it is advisable to check and negotiate the rates in advance. The forest tour is something not to be missed, not for wild animals but for the amazing valley views it offers. We did spot a bison & yes, that was it. Coaker's Walk, Pillar Rocks, Pine forest and Berijam Lake (inside the forest) also offers beautiful views. My heart is into photography but the weather this time didn't offer too many opportunities. Kodaikanal, I am coming back in April/May next year and will definitely be staying at the Kodai Resort.
Good resort with cottage type rustic environment, great view and good open place with nature and birds to relax. With big terrace open balconies, you can spend relaxing time in the sun and rain. This resort being at the edge of a hill has stairs to climb up and down and have the right feel of a hill station. With Coaker's Walk and Bryant Park just across the road, spend the morning and evening with spectacular view of the valley and the park with mist and enjoy nature at its best. Walk to the Kodai Lake through the Bryant Park and enjoy cycling, horse riding and boating to your heart's fill. A great place to spend some time relaxing amidst nature.
I visited Kodai Resort in July 2014 and this place is like a second heaven on earth. It's superb overall in hospitality, service, food and scenic view. I would like to visit again and again and would like to stay in resort with my child and want to spend time with them rather to waste time outside in garden or places. I would suggest to others also to spend quality time with family in resort and also in their activity centre. In the morning time enjoy a cup of tea in room balcony with scenic view. Playing with kids in garden is very hygienic and beautifully placed. It's really awesome to have a good sleep in night on comfortable bed. I enjoyed each and every minute in resort with morning breakfast to candle light dinner. Staff is very helpful and good, and very kind with kids. One thing I missed here that is family game planned by activity centre if they can connect all family through games and activity it will be so good.
The hotel is situated in a strategic location with key spots in walking distance. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The cottages have a big balcony where you can relax and have a morning breakfast while looking at the awesome view in front. The staff are very polite and the food is decent. Overall a nice place for perfect weekend getaway.
My initial plan was to stay with Club Mahindra or Sterling. But I didn’t get a booking in any of those. After, I reached Kodai I still went to check out those places out of curiosity and for future references. I was glad that I made right choice to stay with Kodai resort. Here is my feedback on various aspects of this hotel: LOCATION It is in close proximity to Bus Stand, Coaker\'s walk, Kodai lake and Bryant Park. Even the market and all the restaurants are at a walking distance. Hotel is not on main road, but inside a quiet lane. So, you can still enjoy the ambiance away from hustle-bustle and all the noise. There aren\'t any autos in Kodai, so it\'s good to stay close to market. ROOMS Hotel has 2 kind of rooms Suite (2500 + Tax) and Executive Suite (3500 + Tax). I guess rooms were priced a little higher but wont call it exorbitant. In my opinion Suite are much better as you have a better view of garden and its even cheaper. Suite number 8,9,18,19 are the one with garden view. If you wish to go for Executive suite then I\'ll advise number 36, 43 and 44. They have some other rooms on upper side and back side, which doesn\'t have a good view. They call it valley view rooms, but frankly its no good. I stayed in Executive suite so will comment on its rooms. Rooms don\'t have a fan/AC, but I didn\'t feel the need for it as weather was nice. There was a coffee maker, LCD TV, Hair dryer, Umbrella, 2 pair of slippers apart from Towels/soaps/blankets. Bed and mattress was quite comfortable. Blankets were soft and dirt free. They also had a Diwan and 2 chairs in drawing room. Toilets were clean, but bathing area was a little small without any bath tub. Hot water supply is from 6am/pm to 10 am/pm. FACILITIES Hotel has a nice garden with some ducks and benches around. They have done reasonably good landscaping. There is a kids playing area in garden. There is an ample parking space in hotel. Hotel also has a recreation room with carom, chess, mini library and TT table. Then there is a beauty salon for ladies and an ayurvedic massage center. My wife had her facial and massage done from parlor but it wasn’t anything great. I took the ayurvedic massage followed by Steam bath. It costs Rs 750 and I found it quite relaxing. Mr Ajayen is the masseur and has done massage of many celebrities. Restaurant in hotel serves only buffet, which I found a little expensive and food didn’t look appealing to me. Moreover, I like to roam around and try food at local favorites. I enjoyed parathas at Rasoi, Soup/Chowmein at Tibetian brothers. SERVICE I didn’t take much service from hotel. However, I was reasonably satisfied with it. Bell boy took my luggage to rooms and then back to car at the time of check out. They didn’t keep me waiting for check-in and rooms were already clean and ready. They didn’t replenish tea/soaps/shampoo on their own but when I called up reception it was done within 5 minutes. Cleaning lady came to clean rooms in afternoon but I was taking rest and chose not to let her clean.
