"Enjoy the beauty of the green valley"

If you want to view the beauty of Kothavari mountains and valley. Do you want your eyes to be greeny, then visit Kodanad view point. You can also buy nuts and dry fruits over there.

Kodanad estate is the awesome place, it is a lifetime scene place in the earth, and this is the best estate which ever I seen earlier, that kind of scene.

"A nice vantage point"

The Kodanad view point is about a half an hour drive from Kotagiri town center. The drive to the view point was wonderful with the tea estates on one side and the valley on the other. They say "Jayalalitha" owns vast acreage of tea estates there. Whether true or not, the roads in the estate are beautifully laid out and the estates Bungalows are surrounded by high rise compound walls and gates. The view point as such has two decks. One is the upper deck where one has to climb about 25-30 steps. The other is the lower deck which also has stairs. The view of the hills and mountains from the view point is nice. We were lucky that there was no mist and it was a clear day.

There are no hotels or restaurants at the view point. There is a small tea shop. People in wheel chairs cannot visit either the upper or the lower deck as it is not friendly to the physically challenged people.
