The third beach Ashok is a relatively quiter and calmer beach. Halcyon Castle, one of Kovalam's landmarks, is located here and is currently empty. A small mosque by the name of Kovalam Jama Masjid stands on the Ashok beach and right across, on the other side of the road, is a Ganapati Temple.
