Hotel Review of Uday Samudra, Hotel
Comments: We have been to the resort for true holiday. Our holiday turned out to be nightmare from the movement we checked in. I was with my wife and 4 yr old kid.
Best Experience:
We have given suggestion and complaint to the management of the hotel. Hotel management has promised to take the feedback in right manner and promised to in corporate the same.

Worst Experience: During our stay in Uday Samudra we felt quite out of the place due to the alien treatment by the service staff of the hotel. The attitude of staff was rude. I myself was a NRI who came back to India as I truly missed my homeland. I have visited lots of country and I have not come across this type of treatment any where. First of all we were given a room whose bathroom stinked of sewage. Despite asking the staff not to use room freshener(as my kid is asthmatic), they kept spraying it. After a fitting argument with the front desk, we were given a different room. We later ordered for lunch at around 2.50pm, after 10 mins they call us and say the kitchens closed at 3pm. This after they took our order and later they say there is no staff to take lunch order. We thought we will just cool our self and so headed to the beach, where I was looking for a hotel staff to take an order for a drink. One did turn up though he said they did not serve on the beach. After 10 mins 2 foreigners turn up and this same waiter rushes to them to take order for a “drink” and serves them their drink in 10 mins flat. After confronting him for not taking our order, he reluctantly took our order which turned up 30 mins later.
When we went for a swim on the pool the staff rushed with cushions & towels for the foreigner, where as we were to serve our self.
We were to stay here for 2 days, but we cut short to 1 day as taking the humiliation was too much.
This was the worst ever holiday experience we ever had in India. In India we felt racially discriminated by our own Indians and we talk of it from foreigners!!

Its a very good hotel with a nice swimming pool.We had a nice staying experience with the climate being very good.(Oct).Food is average and the hospitality is good. The beach facing side is not that great....Overall you can enjoy...may be with a small disappointment....

The worst service ever given by any hotel I have ever travelled. I don't understand how this hotel has been rated as a 4 star one? The KTDC 2 star hotel is much much better than this uday samudra. we stayed in this resort enroute to our honeymoon trip to maldives and back. it was a good expirience. the best part of the resort is that it is located very near the sea. so on can experience the billowing sea through the balcony of the room. the food and service was very goos, and typical kerala style. the resort also boasts of a ayurveda centre. however the rooms could use som refurbishing and re-decorating as they seem a little...

The hotel has a good location right besides the sea and has very good maintained lawns. Added pleasure are the nicely laid out hammocks around the lawns - to laze around during the late evenings watching the stars. The pool is clean and well maintained. The food is good though a bit on the expensive side....
