It was indeed a great place to stay. The rooms were very good and the staff of the hotel were friendly and well behaved. Although I didnt need to use the internet facility but I found the hotel to be very professional providing Free Wi-Fi facility for everyone. Nowadays Internet availability is considered to be one the basic amenities during travelling and staying at hotels. Location was fabolous and so was the food. The combination of hospitality and excellent food was one of the major decisive factors to visit the hotel again.

The hotel with respect to money paid was not that great. I was not satisfied with the stay. I stayed in this hotel in January. It was my holiday trip with my family for cultural. The destination was nice specially the lake and the palace. The hotel location was in the congested place. The money paid to this hotel doesn't meet the service standard. The hotel appearance was okay and front office people were not prompt at all. I booked the room online and the room provided was average. There was no delay in the check in and checkout. The hotel food was not good. The overall my stay was not good and I would not recommend this hotel.

We visited Udaipur on October 2015. It was a family tour (10 person). We have booked this hotel through our agent after doing some internet research. We have booked two triple bed rooms and 2 double bed rooms. This lovely heritage hotel is situated just beside the Lal Ghat inside the old city. We were able to view a part of lake from our rooms (rooms on 4th floor had a better view than the 3rd floor ones). But from the terrace, you can see the whole lake in its full glory. It is a magnificent view. The rooms are very well-decorated and the bed was good. The bathroom was also up to standard. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We had a very good time. Our group had 6 Senior citizens, hence we needed either rooms in first two floors or elevators. But since, the 1st floor is reception/art gallery and the owner resides in the second floor, we got rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. Also this is a heritage hotel so no elevators. Due to this, some of our group members faced serious inconvenience. That said, we understand, this is not particularly the hotel management's fault, still it was one of our two grievances we had in otherwise wonderful hotel. The 2nd issue, that we had is, the triple bed rooms do not have any cupboard or a place to keep your clothes/things in. If this is fixed then it will be great. Advice to future travellers: 1) Since this property is in old city, you will not be able to reach this hotel using a big car. Your only way, will be taking a tuk tuk/auto rickshaws. Though if you can walk, it is most preferred and it is a nice route. 2) No rooms in the first two floors (also no elevators), so people with bad legs/backs should be aware. 3) The triple bed rooms do not have any cupboard or a place to keep your clothes/things in. 4) Till now, the hotel only offer breakfast (they are going to open the terrace restaurant in near future as I understand). But you have enough food joints option nearby. If you are a youngster or in good physical condition, consider taking 4th floor rooms and visit the terrace as much as possible. It will be worth the effort.
Very good experience of staying in this hotel. The interior of the hotel was very artistic. The room was having view of Lake Pichola. The location of the hotel was also nice. It was also in the proximity to sightseeing points like Bagore Ki Haveli which was adjutant to the hotel, Shree Jagdishji Temple and city palace were just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Only thing inconvenient was that there was no lift, so had to climb staircase up to the 4th floor. Staircase was very steep to climb. Otherwise enjoyed a lot
It was a pleasure trip, went to attend the World Music festival in Udaipur. Booked this hotel via Holidayiq. Cause I had no prior knowledge about this place. Turned out it was a good deal, the hotel was just nearby Lake Pichola, and the city fort was close too. The ambiance was great. It was more like a home rather than a hotel. Beautiful wall-arts, paintings, decorated everywhere. The rooms were good too. But there was no arrangement of food except breakfast. That was the only drawback. Overall a nice experience.
I visited Udaipur to relax, have a break from routine. I stayed in lake view rooms of Krishna Niwas hotel located near to city palace. The hotel ambiance is nice and it is given nice heritage look but the lake view rooms are ok and you can see part of the lake only from the window. Rooms are ok, and facilities too are ok. Nice budget hotel but you can get other nice hotels too in the same range. No parking space is available and the nearest parking is around 200-300 mtrs away. Overall the hotel is good and the staff is courteous.
The overall experience was good in the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was provided by the hotel was very good. The food was very good in the hotel. Everything was excellent in the hotel. I would not suggest anything to this hotel.
