Kukanoor

Kukanoor, situated in the Yelburga taluk, is a villavge near the Bannikoppa railway station on the Guntakal-Hubli railway line. This village is also known for the group of temples called the Navalinga temple.

This group of temple belongs to the early Chalukyan period and is hence, designed in the Chalukyan style of architecture.  Other major temples in the region are Mallikarjuna and Kalleshvara that also depict the ancient Chalukyan architectural style.
