During the month of December 2016 I had been to Kodaikanal and made my stay in Kumaragiri Holiday Home. It was my holiday trip with family. I would rate the destination as good. The hotel location was good with necessary available at the nearest. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as good as it is very clean. I would rate the front desk staff as very good as they are friendly and provided correct information. I booked this hotel via online. The services which were provided in the hotel were good with quick response. Rooms which we stayed in were very good because of available facilities. The food in the hotel was average.
Big Picture:We are 20 members went as a packaged trip to enjoy and build team activities. Amenities: need to improve provide hot water and no good music system to perform the team activity. Service:Must improve the service, room service is poor, only one person managing the service, no timely service. Food is good but not the expected quantity. Advice to travelers:IF you want a budget trip and make some compromise on the service this Hotel is good, other than not value for money. If I stay the hotel if they improve the above otherwise no way to go again. As a traveler my overall opinion is diagonal is the best place for group, familiy and single trip but Resort is average
The hotel is easy to locate and I've been to the hotel frequently since the last 4 years. The surroundings are calm and pleasant. I visited the hotel with my family and friends about 4 months ago. The staff were quick in service and the rooms were spacious and hygienically maintained with basic amenities like TV, geyser etc. The food provided is of good quality in various varieties, especially South Indian breakfast. Indoor, outdoor games are provided. Sightseeing, activities were available, but I did not use it. The hotel can improve its management. The hotel was worth my money, but a little expensive and I would recommend it to future travellers.
Went for a holiday with family. Amenities as indicated in the website such as complimentary WiFi, telephone facility and credit facility was not there. Rooms were large and newly constructed but extensive seepage. The flooring seem to have acquired seepage and was swollen. Food was awesome but a tad expensive. Don't miss to have a chat with chef Jobin. Staff were extremely courteous and friendly and ready to help at short notice. Apparently they were aware of the shortcomings in the amenities and were trying to go all out to help guests stay a pleasure. Only advice to fellow travelers is to discuss and finalize the services well ahead of arrival. However, even if you don't, there is no need to worry because Mr. Sulfi will be more than eager to help you. Bring your own water as the resort does not provide complimentary mineral water which I feel should be provided. Difference between super deluxe and deluxe room is hardly anything for an incremental tariff of 300.
I had been here with my family in the month of November 2013 as a relaxing trip. The location is about 2km from the bus stand. The hotel service was good and responded quickly. The manager of the hotel was very kind and helped us a lot. The hotel has a restaurant and food was good, the normal rice with chicken gravy was very tasty. The room was neat and clean and the room had basic amenities. We could view the small village from the room. The appearance of the hotel was simple. The room was booked in advance and there was no problem at check in and check out. An activity like camp fire was organized. It was worth to pay and it is recommendable to others.
