Hotel Review of Backwater Ripples
Comments: Good Experience overall.We stayed for 2 nights in Lake facing cottage.The resort is beautiful & well maintained.Food is excellent & the service is prompt.
Best Experience: -Beautiful lake facing cottages (no fun in staying garden facing cottage though)
-Cottages & surroundings are well maintained & clean
-Open bath room
-Quality of food
Worst Experience: -Not much things to do in the resort.There is a evening cruise arranged by the hotel.We found that very boring as the cruise is on Vembanad lake only (did not take us to the back waters)

-Hiring boat is highly expensive if you hire from the resort.( Rs 1000/- per hr).

-We took the bicycle from the resort(free) & went to a place about 1 km from the resort & found a boat rental agency(you see this place when you are coming from Cochin).It costed us only Rs.300/- hr.This guy came to the resort in a boat & picked us up promptly.Clearly instruct him that you want only Backwater cruise else you will be floating in adjoining vembanad lake.3 hrs cruise from the resort is sufficient.
-Dont stay more than 2 nights here as it will get very boring

Hotel Review of Backwater Ripples
Amidst a clearing of plantations and winding roads, the road suddenly curves into a pathway and Backwater Ripples comes into picture. The resort is beautifully located and the staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The food was very good and would have been better if there had been more variety. The sunset cruise was a great experience and even watching the sunset from the resort is an experience in itself.Overall it serves as a good break from the hustle bustle...

Hotel Review of Backwater Ripples
The resort and location were excellent, but the service was bad. Eg at the reception the person receiving us was quite rude. The food was not up to the mark. But the service at the restaurant was good....

Its actually a rippling centre, since bordered by natural backwaters. To reach there by road is a bit difficult, since its not a complete road, not tarred and very narrow....
