Hotel Review of GK's River View Home Stay

Best Experience: 1. Wonderful experience for first timers in Kerala
2. Amidst green surroundings and backwaters
3. George, the host was wonderfully wonderful.........:)
4. The food, oops......awesome...... i envy George for the food. he gets it everyday. wow...... his wife surely will be among us forever for her cooking.
5. calm quite surroundings.
6. canoe riding was nice. hard to believe that was 200 yrs old canoe, still floating with us.
7. he arranged for us, the best part of our long trip, one superb houseboat at reasonable price.
Worst Experience: 1. No activites, leisure is the only activity.
2. No Tv, big pothole in this. he should think of this.
3. Don't understand how the bathroom sizes can differ such a lot.
4. Food prices looked to me a bit costlier.
5. His foreigner driven mentality, he should not forget he belong to India, may be he earns his livelihood from foreigners most, still......... cannot blame india 1$=40rs, we do negotiate, he himself will..... at other places where he will be on the receiving end.
6. very particular about money matters, more than reqd. Things can be presented in different ways keeping the objective same. presentation matters.

Hotel Review of GK's River View Home Stay
We have stayed at GK Riverview Homestay four times, first during our travels in South India and later after we moved to Kerala. The homestay is unrivalled in its authenticity, and the location, in the middle of a peaceful and quiet backwater village, is perfect for relaxation, as well as canoe, boat and ferry trips in the surrounding backwaters. A few times we have gone on very entertaining hour long walks along the canals where you are guaranteed to meet...
