The major sight seeing option at Kumarakom is boat cruise. There are Country boats (motorised & non motorised) and Houseboats for the boat cruise experince. Houseboat cruise along the backwaters is really an amazing experience for every traveller to Kumarakom.

Hotel Review of Tharavadu Heritage Home
Comments: It was a ggod experience being here. It was not a very posh and luxurious stay but it decently covered all the modern amenities. It is also very cost effective for both hotel room and houseboat.
Best Experience: The room service and other services were good. For food also if you suggest something they will cook for you. Only problem was that they cook food in coconut oil.
Worst Experience: We were not used to kerala food. So that was the only bad experience. They say they provide good multicuisine food BUT THEY DONT
