Hotel Review of Waterscapes
Comments: Waterscapes has probably the best location as far as Kumarakom resorts are concerned. She shares her borders with the bird sanctuary so it is common to have exquisite looking (ansd sounding) birds land upon your porch! The wooden cottages float on stilts (like in Thailand), with canals networking the whole place, are extremely well equipped inside, and nature all around!

It is great value for money, and the views of the lake (I could sit all day just gazing at the kingfishers perched on bamboo sticks, and rice boats passing by) are amazing.
The best way of entering the resort is from the lake itself (by boat - from Alleppey)
Best Experience: - Cranes perched on our balcony as we sat a foot from them.
-Butterflies of a myriad of colours fluttering as we made way for lunch
-The sunset crise through a canal closeby.
Worst Experience: None - though the choice of dishes in the restaurant can get a it confining after a 4 day stay.

The resort has the most visually pleasing setting. It is right on the lake front & you can see a vast expanse of the water body. The Sunsets are particularly beautiful. The dining room is right on the waterfront & one is justified in taking a longer than usual time to finish the meals. It takes a while to get used to the beauty, particularly to a city dweller....

Lovely place and people. The boat ride in the evening was fun on all the 3 days. Had nice peaceful stay - away from all the hustle and bustle. The lake is beautiful as is the setting of the resort....

Front Office needs to improve.. with more appropriate, clear & concise communication. With a pre-booking done, a phone call from the railway station, had to wait for the room (check in 12) till 1.30 so the room could be cleaned & handed over. 12 check in means that guests can occupy the room max by 12.15.....food can be improved...

Beautiful place... ideal to take a break and relax! The entire kumarokam is there within the resort... chances are less you will want to go out and explore the rest of the place. The live kathakali performance added to the atmosphere....
