The
KurinjiAndavarTemple dedicated to Lord Muruga is at
a distance of 3 km from the KodaiLake.
According to Tamil literature, "Kurinji Andavar
" means God of the Hilly region. This famous temple is associated
with the Kurinji flower which blooms once in 12 years and carpets the hillside
giving it a unique blue colour. Hence Lord Muruga is referred to as God of
Hills here.
The Palani and Vaigai Dam can be seen from the KurinjiAndavarTemple.
