Hotel Review of Tsomoriri
Comments: Leh is heaven on earth and belongs to the 'must visit this place before I die' category. The good thing about the hotels here is that it is more of a 'home stay' experience. Whatever may be the rate quoted by the hotel, you can bargain for less and they reduce the rate by at least Rs.300-400 per day. The people are very friendly and this place does not seems to have an 'commercial' outlook like most of the tourist destinations.
Best Experience: Moving in the mountains, watching the yaks, mountain goats, double humped camels, azure blue lakes, fresh unpolluted air, apple trees, gomphas, snow covered peaks...every moment was beautiful. The topography amazes you with barren hills at one moment and snow covered peaks and green meadows, flowing rivers in the next moment.
Worst Experience: Every experience was great. We fortunately experienced excellent weather, sould visit all the 'highest motorable passes', had no altitude sickness and had a throughly enjoyable time.
