A nice coffee estate. When you take left you find shabby road entrance & small entrance of Hotel Lake Forest. Just entrance your vehicle may hit entrance stony path. If you have car with low ground clearance it may hit bottom of your car. A small stony path take you up to front office. You not find any place for parking, some how you have to manage park your car on side of path. It is horrible experience to turn your car. In rainy season it is almost impossible to take out you car. So parking of car is too horrible in hotel. Front office is OK. Staff is also OK. But room of the hotels are too basic. The room offer to me like dormitory, I remember my collage hostel days. So I made complaint to club mahindra ( its tie up with club mahindra) & they immediately offer me 2 more rooms which I select 1, its also basic room but better than first one. Interior of room not giving any feel of antic, royal, British style & not at all any luxury. 38 acre coffee estate is very nice feel. Restaurant is also good. Management is not co operative. I reach on 9/11/2016 & 500/- note problem start. On 11/11/ 16 small keeper start accepting rs. 500/- note giving change. But at the time of check out hotel management demand me card for payment, but then accept Rs. 500/- but refuse to give any change. So I have too loose my Rs. 250/- change. Over all don't expect more from hotel.

The activity was available in the hotel. The hotel had provided south Indian and north Indian food. The complimentary breakfast was not provided in the hotel. All facility was provided in the room. The view from the room was good. The service of the hotel was good. The serviced was provided on time. There was no delay in check in and checkout. I didn’t use Wi-Fi facility in the hotel. The hotel was centrally located. The hotel was located nearby the lake. I would suggest this hotel to conduct more activity.

We went there in mid October 2013; the Property is very close to the Lake and walk-able distance from the city/town centre. The property is old but very well maintained with complete aesthetic and antique value. The place is completely green friendly, and they always try to protect the flora and fauna that lives in and around the property. The view from the room and whole property is too good. The room was quite good and well maintained though old. The bed was very big and also had an extra single bed near the television. Regular cleaning was done by the housekeeping team, except for reminding them only once. There were ample plug points to charge our phones and the switches and switchboards were of antique model. The people there were very friendly, especially in the reception and in the restaurant. My son who is just three years old still remembers names of a few people there who were very friendly with the kids and played with them. They serve both a' la carte and buffet. A' la carte is served in the room during the specific hours of buffet. The buffet had a very good but a medium spread. The taste was too good. When we go out we have ample number of restaurants very close to the property / lake, if we want to try different food. The travel desk will arrange cab for sightseeing and pick-up and drop to and fro Salem junction and Lake Forest with a nominal charge. Every evening they have some activities or games conducted for the inmates, which our kids enjoyed. But there is not swimming pool, kids play area in the property. There is a well maintained gym, indoor play area for elders which has carom, chess, mancala (pallanguzhi) etc and a few shuttle rackets for big children to play in the open area. Only major thing I was concerned during the stay was safety for kids both in the room and in the restaurant. The windows in the room and in the restaurant was very big and openable from the floor level and the handle to open it was in very low height that kids can open them very easily and it was very deep down when we peep through the window. I had in fact given suggestion to the manager while leaving to change the model of the window, such that it can be open only from certain height and it is kid’s proof. Overall it was a pleasant and memorable stay.
Beyond expectations. I was ready for a good holiday. But what I experienced was amazing. Great.
It was one of the best weekend break we ever had, being close to Bangalore it is an ideal choice. The resort has maintained its heritage look and feel, and lovely antique furniture and fittings are exhibited in royal finish and style all over the resort. The resort is situated in the midst of a coffee estate, Nostalgia in all its glory !!!
The destination of the hotel was very good. The hotel was located in high of the peak. The hotel was near to a temple. The hotel professionals were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was an old building and well maintained I will suggest people to go there. There is a lake view from the hotel. The interior and exterior of the hotel was good. The parking facilities are not proper especially in night time. The hotel room is well maintained and hygienic. There were no any views from the room provided for us. There were both veg and non-veg. as we are not member we did not engage in activities. The check-in and check-out was good. They did not arrange any sightseeing but they guided us for sightseeing. The hotel is too costly they can reduce the room fare so it can be affordable for all.
Been on a 3 day visit to Yercaud. Lake Forest Resort is an amazing reacreation of the glory of the British India. A wonderful collection of artefacts, antiques and furniture decorate the place perfectly. The resort inself is well in sync with the ecology of the estate. The rooms are well inspired admist the pepper. coffee plants and a vareity of flora. Food was good, reasonably priced. Staff are very hospitable. Overall a perfect place for a sojourn.
