The Lalit, Delhi
Near Modern School, Barakhamba Rd, Connaught Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110001
The Lalit, Delhi is everything you need in a hotel. It's right in the heart of the city making in the most convenient place to stay too. Step out of the hotel and you are at Connaught Place, everything you could possibly need spread right in front of you. I love staying at the Lalit while travelling on work or leisure as the hotel is an icon in Delhi. Vivek Shukla, the General Manager of the property is synonymous with it's warmth and hospitality, he knows just how to pamper you silly. The reason which makes me love The Lalit is it's location, however the hospitality, service, food, ambiance and people are wonderful too. Ask for a room on a higher floor and the property offers stunning vistas of the city. The view of the Indian National Flag from the restaurant is particularly moving. Overall, it is the place to be.
The hotel was located at a very convenient place. The transportation was easily available to reach there. The hotel looked awesome. The interior as well as exterior of the hotel with its decor was beautifully done. The car parking space was provided in the hotel. I was welcomed well by the staffs at the reception. The room was ready and there was no delay in the check in and checkout procedure. The service provided by the staff was excellent. The staffs were very helpful and responded well to our requests. The food taste as well as quality was excellent. The breakfast had a huge spread and menu had vast varieties of a la carte food options. The room service was excellent. The room had TV, AC, mini bar and geyser was working well. The room along with the bathroom was really neat and clean. All accessories were provided in the room as well as bathroom. The housekeeping staffs regularly changed the bed sheet and linens. Overall experience at the hotel was excellent. There was a beautiful swimming pool, spa services and gym service in the hotel. The laundry service was provided in the hotel. The hotel was value for money. It was a business trip. I had visited alone.
This is centrally located hotel in the heart of Delhi yet very calm and this is a huge property. Check in and check out process is usually tiresome as front desk people need to be trained professional with complete information about the hotel. Even with regular guests the process is hectic and people need to be at par with international standards. Rooms are very good and well kept, bathroom too is very good and neat. All staffs in the restaurant are very good and responsive with smiling face willing to help you, but room service is not up to the mark. They have a nice fitness centre and spa and trainers are good and recognize regular customers. Spread of their buffet breakfast is excellent and the taste too is good. The only place they need to improve is front desk operations. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to others worth staying.
The Lalit hotel shall be the best hotel of Delhi and it is also a best part of my life. I was staying with my wife and I went to Delhi 1st time. It is located at very good location in the main market of Delhi. Room was very great and comfortable. I feel like very relaxed in this hotel. Staff was very friendly and nice person. When I come in Delhi again then I will stay only in this hotel.
The hotel is big and comfortable. It suggests breakfast with extra payment and has free WiFi (though sometimes you have to login again or get a new user+password from Lobby+only 1 hour free). The bed was comfortable and there is air conditioning. The prices are a little expensive compared to other guest houses and hotels you can find in the area - but the quality of the stay is significantly higher. Recommended for luxury travellers that want to stay in the main bazaar area but don't want to compromise on the comfort of the stay.
