Lalita Devi Temple is dedicated to Lalita Devi, who is a manifestation of Sati. Located near this temple is a Bargad Ghat, which is believed to be very sacred. Inside this temple is a smaller shrine, which houses a Shiva linga made of mercury. During the Chaitra Navratri festival, special idols of the goddess are brought for this temple especially from Bengal. These idols are later immersed at the Saraswati Ghat.

Lalita Devi temple is one of the Shakti peeth situated in Meerapur Area of Allahabad approx 12 KM far from Allahabad Junction. It believe that Maa sati finger was down here. The temple is big and very beautiful murti of Maa Lalita is here. The surrounding area is not very good but you feel peace in this temple, do not forget to carry prasad before visiting this temple.
